## What is SunSwap

SunSwap, formerly JustSwap, is a decentralised exchange (automated market maker) on the TRON blockchain, part of the SUN.io platform. It runs liquidity pools in four versions, V1 to V4, for swaps between TRC20 tokens and TRX, and uses the SUN token for governance, rewards and buy-back and burn.

## Good to know

- JustSwap was renamed SunSwap after SUN.io acquired it; TRON DAO announced the acquisition on 20 October 2021. [↗](https://trondao.medium.com/sun-io-officially-acquires-justswap-to-create-the-largest-decentralized-exchange-in-the-tron-a4584fbdc169)
- The old domain justswap.org permanently redirects to sunswap.com. [↗](https://justswap.org/)
- The terms of use are with the 'SUN team'; no registered company, registration number or address is given. [↗](https://sun.io/docs/SUN_Terms_of_Use_en.pdf)
- The SUN.io interface says it is not registered with the Monetary Authority of Singapore and does not broker or settle trades. [↗](https://sun.io/docs/SUN_Terms_of_Use_en.pdf)
- The SUN token white paper names JustSwap Foundation Ltd., a Singapore company limited by guarantee, as the token issuer. [↗](https://sf.sun.io/sun_mica_whitepaper_2025_10_28_1.pdf)
- SunSwap V1 pools still exist but V1 is not recommended for new pairs; every V1 pair must include TRX. [↗](https://docs.sun.io/protocols/sunswap-v1/overview)
- Part of every SunSwap V2 trading fee (0.05% of the trade) is used to buy back and burn SUN. [↗](https://docs.sun.io/trade/trading-fee)

## Services

| Parameter | Details |
|---|---|
| Spot trading | Token swaps through AMM liquidity pools (SunSwap V1, V2, V3 and V4), routed through the Universal Router. |
| Liquidity pools | V2 lets anyone create a pair between any two TRC20 tokens; liquidity providers receive LP tokens. |
| Liquidity pools | V3 adds concentrated liquidity: providers choose a token pair, fee tier and price range. |
| Liquidity pools | V4 adds Hooks, a single contract for all pools, flash accounting and native TRX pairs. |
| Staking / Earn | Liquidity mining: LP tokens can be staked, or SUN locked, to earn rewards. |
| Own token | SUN: used for governance, liquidity rewards and buy-back and burn; locking SUN gives veSUN. |
| Own blockchain | None of its own: SunSwap runs on the TRON blockchain. |
| Custody / wallet | Non-custodial interface: users keep their own private keys. |

## Security and audits

- Non-custodial: trades settle on the TRON blockchain and users hold their own keys.
- SUN.io says its smart contracts were audited by SlowMist and warns that an audit cannot remove all risk.
- On 29 March 2023 SUN.io said its mining pools were back to normal after a downtime and that user funds were safe.
- SUN.io warns users to check that they are on https://sun.io because phishing sites impersonate it.

## Security incidents

| Swap fee (V4) | Same static tiers as V3, or a dynamic fee through a hook, capped at 5% (as of 1 November 2026) |

## Who can use it

- Verification: No identity verification: the interface says it collects only wallet addresses, transaction hashes and token identifiers.
- Not for citizens, residents or organisations of the Chinese Mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong, the United States or Singapore, or sanctioned persons; users must be of the age of majority.

## How voting works

Votes are anonymous and carry no text. Each device has one vote per item; press the same button again to remove it. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person is voting. We keep a random device ID in a cookie and a salted hash of the IP address to limit abuse — no names, no accounts. Votes are visitors’ opinions, not investment advice.
