Review of the Verge (XVG) cryptocurrency. But this is not why you should buy it

-: Verge (XVG) is a cryptocurrency whose main priority is the privacy of payments and users. She recently launched a partnership with a well-known website. You can buy a premium subscription with Verge Coins.

Verge is written using the source code of the Bitcoin network. The main difference of XVG is that it uses TOR, i2P networks and RingCT protocol for end-to-end encryption and IP change. Thus, complete confidentiality and anonymity are guaranteed during transactions.

By all the canons of the crypto community, this token sets the main goal of ensuring the security and anonymity of transfers and user data. In fact, Verge is a more confidential version of bitcoin.

There is a sin behind the latter, which consists in the fact that all transactions are recorded in a special journal. Bitcoin does not protect the history of user transfers, leaving the ability to view the transactions of any wallet. This is definitely a huge disadvantage for cryptocurrency. Verge doesn't have this problem.

Verge was launched in 2014 under the name DogeCoinDark. In February 2016, creative managers changed the name of the cryptocurrency to Verge. In total, 11 developers are involved in the project hiding under nicknames. Verge uses proof of work, which is one of the most advanced on the crypto market. The network provides work with five algorithms: Scrypt, Groestl, X17, Blake2S, Lyra2rev2. Such a complex system is needed so that the network can adapt to the consumer. Depending on the computing power of the user's computer and its settings, one or another algorithm is used. Flexibility allows you to speed up your network by minimizing or optimizing the load.

Another reason for the implementation of such a large number of different algorithms is the unique Verge blockchain system. The bottom line is that each next block has a different algorithm from the previous one. For example, block N used the Scrypt algorithm. Then the block N + 1 following it will use the Lyra2rev2 algorithm.

The developers immediately reacted to this and very quickly released a fix for this bug. As a result, this story diminished people's trust in Verge. However, more and more services are switching to the Verge system. In early April, Verge was attacked precisely because of this system with an update of the algorithms for the blocks. Bugs in the protocol played a cruel joke on the developers. It was enough for burglars to take any block and change its time. And due to the change in the algorithm, the system could not detect the error and continued to work further. Then new blocks appeared, already created by burglars. Thus, hackers could manually create already solved blocks and receive a reward from the system.

The developers immediately reacted to this and very quickly released a fix for this bug. As a result, this story diminished people's trust in Verge. However, more and more services are switching to the Verge system.
