Barclays - not good

I have been on hold for 1 hour 20 minutes now waiting for a Manager. Paid my card off in full and two days later I was charged interest on a zero balance. I called and spoke with a customer service representative and a Supervisor who were unable to assist me and then asked for a Manager. Still waiting on hold. My question is why does it take that long for a Customer Service Manager to pick up a call from a customer who is concerned about charges. I suppose they put me on hold hoping I would just hang up but I will continue to hold and then contact the corporate office to let them know how absolutely awful their "customer service" is.
They must have so many customers calling to complain that they can't keep up! That speaks volumes!
