Canon 1dx Markii vs Sony A7sii

So many people looking at this camera, probably like me, were wondering which camera to choose: this or the Sony A7sii. I had a Sony A7sii for a year before switching to Cannon and 1dx and loved it. I personally loved the colors on it and it's as new as the back of my hand, but in the end the Cannon dx Markii still leads the way when it comes to video. Pros of the Canon 1dx Markii compared to the Sony A7sii: Video quality is definitely better (once you shoot with it you will notice that the image is much more detailed) Dual pixel autofocus which is very cool and allows me to focus my aperture very low without losing focus on the subject. Lens choice (but Sony is slowly turning that around) 4k 60fps - I use that for a lot of my shots and love it Other things to consider are the cards are more expensive, especially if you want to shoot 4k 60 you need a C-Fast card and a premium 128GB card and cost $500.00 and up. Batteries are also more expensive, and you'll also need a memory card reader to transfer footage to your computer. The next weight, now I know a lot of people who like a heavier weight because it feels like it's holding something solid, but you have to think about it. the equipment you use with the camera. With the 1dx Mark ii you need a better tripod, it's also a bit harder to find the right stabilizer to hold the size of the camera, I recommend the Zhiyun Crane 2 + Gravity Plate. Finally, the biggest downside is that there is no camera stabilization. Just as people who don't have dual pixel autofocus on the Sony A7sii don't know what they're missing, the same goes for Canon owners and the internal stabilization. Handheld shots don't get as smooth even if you use the trick of using the strap at the neck. I would like to end by saying the quality is there if you want a Canon 1dx Markii but be prepared to invest more and find out how to do things a little more than the Sony. I personally think it's worth it and I've seen my videos improve a lot, but if you're looking to save some money the Sony A7sii is probably for you. I really love both cameras and they have things I respect. Both will do their jobs. When I go to airports with my 1dx Mark II I've never had so many compliments on my camera in my life, I've never had that happen with my Sony and it's funny because most of the people that come up to me , do not think that I understand anything about cameras. I guess they think big camera = good camera.
