Review on Calibrite ColorChecker Display Plus CCDIS3PL by Anthony Heinrichs

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I always profile and calibrate before any post-processing

Having been an X-Rite user for over a decade, I was ready to upgrade to the Calibrite version. Accurately profiling and calibrating my BenQ displays is critical in Lightroom Classic. I always use Large Patches and on all three of my displays - two BenQs and one Macbook Pro. When finished, all three match so exactly that they can confidently be described as ideal. My eyes see no difference. But that's why we use hardware to create ICC profiles! I recommend all my night photography students to get a caliber from Calibrite. When editing on a display, that has not been profiled or calibrated, start at a point that is not color neutral. contrast or brightness. And it's only going to get worse. It's become a habit for me, like breathing. and this tool allows me to breathe more freely and focus on the important things - how I want to present my images to the world. It's small. Backpacks are useful for traveling. It also maintains the projectors and wall mounted televisions that I use during my seminars. to breathe more freely and focus on the important things – how I want to present my paintings to the world.
