I have Skype and MS Teams video calls with a glass wall behind my desk that's lit by the sun. I only appeared as a dark silhouette against this light background. Thanks to the selfie ring light, my face now has the lighting it needs to be visible. It's now easier for my colleagues to interact with me because they can see my reaction. The stand extends high enough to stow my 32" desktop monitor with the webcam on it. Cold, warm and normal settings also give a noticeable improvement. nice to have that choice. Choosing brightness levels is useful, but in my backlit situation I always set it to the brightest level.
