I got this collar for a very heavy Nikon 200-500mm lens. The collar and base that comes with the lens only has one screw for the QR plate, and since the lens is very heavy, the QR plate slipped every time I mounted it on a tripod (ball or gimbal). The Haoge collar was easy to attach and fit well. It looks and feels strong. As others have pointed out, it doesn't rotate as smoothly as the Nikon collar. I'm guessing the $200-$300 collars from RRS or Kirk are more stylish, but they're also four times the price. I used this on my gimbal lens the other day while photographing birds and was very happy with its performance.
