LOVE this little solar fountain!

Signed on to order a second one, realized we never reviewed. This little thing is 100% wonderful. Ours is a year old, worked perfectly throughout last summer and now again. Read a few complaints that it doesn't work without sunlight.that the stream of water isn't high/strong/full enough.really?! My first thought was.then spend hundreds or thousands of dollars, have large equipment installed, run the cash & energy using an electric pump and be sure to do regular maintenance! We've had one of…

Pros
  • Very pleased. Add sun, get water spray!
Cons
  • The solar panel may not be able to absorb enough sunlight to keep the fountain running consistently

Low power and cheap

Putting it together first was not the best. The four stabilizer plastic legs that keeps it in the center of your fountain have no place to connect on to. The suction is pretty bad. I had it 80% in the sun and it could only muster enough energy to suck up enough water to spurt up a few seconds, then the pump would stop, but then a couple seconds later it would do it again. It was basically an intermitent fountain.

Pros
  • worth the money. works great
Cons
  • The pump is only 1.4W, which means it may not be powerful enough to create a strong fountain effect.

Works as advertised

This inexpensive fountain works well in our birdbath - I am not sure the birds enjoy it but I think they do - it seems to attrract more of htem to the birdbath for spashing and drinking. The fountain functions when sufficient light is on the collectors - and it does not have to be direct sunlight. When in muted light it will operate in short spurts but even the spurts serve to attract attention and aerate the water. To mount the outriggers i found I had to make a short cut in the foam float…

Pros
  • Cute product but if I use all the attachments, the water drains out of bird bath quickly
Cons
  • The free-standing design may make it difficult to position the fountain in the desired location.

EASY: Makes a real statement & birds love it!

I was a bit skeptical at how well these would work. On a sunny day, look out! Creates such a beautiful and powerful effect. On a foggy day, it still provided maybe a spray height of three inches. More like a bubbler.I also really like that you can adjust what kind of spray pattern you want; this is helpful depending on how deep or wide your birdbath is.JUST KNOW: You can't completely set it and forget it! Birds love clean, and this will last longer if check it once a week. You need to commit to…

Pros
  • Cannot endorse due to second failure
Cons
  • The four nozzles may not be enough to create the desired water patterns.

Worth the price paid!

Would work better if there was something to hold in place and get sun at the same time. The suction straws are ok, but they stick up a bit, and sometimes don't get suction. But overall works great.

Pros
  • Pumps
Cons
  • The fountain may not add much value to a home's resale value.

Worked great. For a few weeks

It took us a few days to sit up the bird bath and today it stopped working. We are slightly over the return window but doubt if it worked a full 30 days. It was great for a few weeks.Update:. The seller promptly contacted me and helped troubleshoot the issue. They have sent a replacement. Very impressed with their customer service.

Pros
  • Easy to install and use without any wiring or electricity
Cons
  • The pump may not be able to handle a heavy volume of water, which can be problematic in larger ponds or pools.

Fun little fountain

Great little fountain for my birdbath. Be aware that it comes with 4 small plastic tubes that have nothing to do with pumping water. They easily slip into the barely visible slots in the foam under the solar disk. They function to keep the disk from floating close to the edge of the birdbath and spraying water out of the birdbath. Good modification!

Pros
  • Solar power means it's silent, so you can enjoy the soothing sound of the water without any added noise pollution
Cons
  • The fountain may not be very effective at deterring animals such as birds or squirrels.

Great little fountain!

My only complaint would be that the little tubes that stick out on in four places, to hold the fountain in place, didn't really hold it in place very well on my bird bath. It's not a big problem. I fixed it in place with some stones. Sprays nicely and was very easy to assemble!

Pros
  • Outdoor Décor
Cons
  • The fountain may not be worth the investment for individuals who do not use their outdoor spaces frequently.

Easy basic fountain

If you want an easy to assemble bird bath fountain this is it! After that all you do is place it in the bird bath and let it go. The only thing that would make it better would be if it held some of the energy so when the shade comes it would still work a little.

Pros
  • ‎Black
Cons
  • The fountain may require frequent adjustment to maintain the desired water flow.

Only worked 2 months

Two months after purchase and it's no longer working. Must be in full sun to work, at all. Did not hold charge for when out of direct sun.Couldn't run in bird bath because it's windy here and the water just blew right out of the bird bath as the fountain ran. Ended up in kiddie pool, because it had enough water volume to support the fountain in the wind.It was cute and festive, while it lasted.

Pros
  • The lack of a power cord or electrical needs means there are no safety hazards or risks of electrocution
Cons
  • The fountain may be too bright or distracting for some homeowners.

Nice options on type of spray. Doesn’t stay centered

So my first suggestion is if you use this get a bird bath wider than 28 inches. This has spray options but it drains my 28 inch bird bath sending the water over the sides regardless of the spout option. The plastic straws trying to center the unit are not very useful.

Pros
  • The pump can handle different water depths, making it a suitable choice for a variety of water features
Cons
  • The fountain may be too loud for some homeowners, particularly if it is located near the home.

Bird Bath and Fountain

The fountain is easy to assemble and has good pressure. The one drawback are the 4 hollow tubes that attach to keep the unit floating in the center of the bird bath. Once the foam gets saturated, the tubes fall off into the water. My guess is that they can be super glued when the foam base is completely dry. Otherwise, the birds love to drink and bathe in the bath.

Pros
  • The fountain adds a stylish and relaxing aesthetic to any outdoor space
Cons
  • The pump may be difficult to repair if something goes wrong.

Nice water feature on my review.

Purchased as a water feature for a bird bath. Attachments work well but were too much for a feeder. Pump acts as a gentle bubbler without attachments which works well for this purpose. Have been using for a few months and recommend for ease of use - cleaning and set-up, pleasant sound and bubbling enjoyed by many bird visitors.

Pros
  • SPRAYER FOR DIFFERENT WATER STYLE: The package comes with 4 nozzles, which allows you to choose different water fountain patterns easily, adding much fun into your garden.
Cons
  • The pump may not work well in areas with high wind gusts, which can affect the fountain's stability.

Good little fountain pump

I love these fountains. They come with multiple nozzles for various fountain styles. Choose the one you like best, place it in the bird bath, and that's about it. My bird bath is small enough that most of the nozzles result in having to refill the bird bath multiple times a day. If you don’t put any of the nozzles on, the pump will not spray water out of the bird bath but still allows the water to circulate. When it says direct sunlight, it means direct sunlight. ANY shadow or shading will cause

Pros
  • The fountain pump is built to last and made with high-quality materials that are durable and long-lasting
Cons
  • The pump may require cleaning more frequently than other water features.

Works great in full sun

The more sun the better it works! I installed it in a large ice cream bucket the put that in a planter with flowers around. Great feature and splashes the plants a little too!

Pros
  • The fountain pump is safe for birds and other wildlife that may want to drink or bathe in the water
Cons
  • The fountain may not be very effective at preventing the growth of algae or other bacteria in the water.

Great for a short period of time

So here is what I like. The pump is great. It does well and great at pumping the water. The issue is, in a smaller bird bath, unless you have a constant flow of water, any breeze that comes along the water sprays out of the bird bath. Your bird bath can go dry in about 15 minutes. The other issue is, a cloud passes overhead and shades it, even for a slight moment, the pump stops. This product needs FULL sunlight the entire time, otherwise it doesn't work. There is no in between either. It's not…

Pros
  • Adds value and interest to any outdoor space, making it more appealing and enjoyable
Cons
  • The fountain may not be compatible with certain types of aquatic plants.

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Experiment with the nozzles.

All of the nozzles create great water output. Some put a considerable amount of water outside of the birdbath. Our birdbath is deep and a few of the choices had us needing to refill our bath with water within 2 hours. Not practical. After a few attempts we found one that allowed the water to remain in the birdbath.

Pros
  • The floating design makes it easy to clean and maintain the fountain pump
Cons
  • The pump may not be powerful enough to filter the water in a pond or pool.

Fun fountain on my review.

I got this for a bird bath but ended up using it in my pool. I put it in there to test it and decided to leave it there. It just floats around creating fun and visual interest. It assembles easily and turns on as soon as it senses sunlight. There are several fountain options, depending on which cap you choose. I like the tallest one. There are also "bumper" tubes that keep it from running into the sides of things. They extend about 6" from the sides and are easily attached. This doesn't really…

Pros
  • UPGRADE 1.4W SOLAR POWERED: The solar birdbath fountain only needs 3 seconds to operate automatically in direct sun, with a spray height of 50-70cm. No electricity or battery needed. The most important this will attract a lot of hummingbirds to your garden!
Cons
  • The fountain may not be very energy-efficient, particularly in areas with limited sunlight.

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Only works sometimes

The solar panel doesn’t charge. It only works in direct sunlight. Disappointed in that as I bought it to use for a Halloween fountain.

Pros
  • Comes with a detailed instruction manual for easy set-up and use
Cons
  • The pump may not be very energy-efficient in areas with frequent cloud cover or rain.

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Super easy to install

Worked out just fine, however I was not able to use the attachments that provide different spray patterns, as it caused the birdbath to go dry. Had to just use it in " bubbler mode". I bought it to provide circulation in the birdbath, to slow down the algae growth- which it does. Attachments would likely work OK in a deeper birdbath/ container. Does work well, even on a cloudy day- which was a nice surprise. So, in summary it would be fabulous for a deeper " bowl", but is just OK for a…

Pros
  • Affordable and easy to replace or upgrade, should the need arise
Cons
  • The pump may be difficult to see in the water, which can be problematic for maintenance.
