Good for spot replacements

I bought these as replacement for hammered head nails on a chair which was my grandmother's. It had been reupholstered using these nails, and since some were missing, the fabric was loose in places. These were a good match in size and color for the nails on the chair. The problem I found was that since my chair is an antique, the wood was hard, and some of the nail shafts bent - about 1/3 of them, to be precise. Those nails which didn't bend did look original, and if it hadn't been for such a…

Pros
  • The seller was very responsive and prompt with my question. The product is beautiful!
Cons
  • Can be difficult to remove once nailed in place

exactly what i was looking for

it's a thumb tack with a decorative head. Great for pinning up nice posters, although one must use the back end of a hammer to get them out of the wall. They are best used for long term hangings

Pros
  • These are well worth the money
Cons
  • May be too expensive for some consumers

Won't go into the wood frame

My latest project is reupholstering 2 throne chairs with heavy upholstery fabric incl alligator-like leather. The original fabric on the chairs had nail head strips. I wanted something different for the reupholstery. I'm heartbroken that I can't use these tacks. When I tried nailing them into the frame with both a tack and regular hammer. These tacks/nails won't go into the wood. The shaft bends, and the tack become unusable. It looks like I have to pre-drill the holes 1st, which is too much…

Pros
  • Easy to use - These decorative nails are easy to use and can be applied with minimal effort. Simply hammer them into whatever surface you want to add an extra decorative touch
Cons
  • May not be practical for those with limited mobility or dexterity

Pretty but use with caution.

I love the look of these tacs but they bent when I was trying to use them. I had to throw about a third of them away. Could require frequent replacement for high-traffic areas.

Pros
  • Positively perfect. Matched exactly as stated. SUPER GREAT PRICE! THANKS.
Cons
  • Could require frequent replacement for high-traffic areas

and the booth looks nice with them

These nails worked as described. I use them to fasten and decorate the vinyl booth, and the booth looks nice with them. Thanks for attention!

Pros
  • Used these for a craft recently made. Stuck them into a canvas for decoration and looked great
Cons
  • Could be easily stolen or removed by others

Really cool look, very challenging to use.

OK, let me first acknowledge that my experience with upholstery nailing is limited. A few prior projects that went pretty well. For some reason, this nail was particularly challenging to work with. The if the spacing was off just slightly, the shape of the nail head really showed it. Even with careful measuring (measure twice and hammer once), I could not get them in properly. I was using them with a point at the top and bottom, like a diamond, so maybe that added to it. As well, at least half…

Pros
  • Tacks
Cons
  • Could be difficult to remove if placed incorrectly

I LOVE these pins good for me

I LOVE these pins. They were perfect for my project and they didn't deform when I hammered them into my wall. They are also a bit darker than the picture shows but I like it that way! I would buy these again.

Pros
  • Give your projects a more professional finish
Cons
  • Could pose a safety hazard if not installed properly

useful find good for me

I am an experienced amateur furniture maker, and am refinishing an old bungalow in Arts and Crafts style furniture. I needed some door handles for a set of interior French doors, and after going online to look for the type of hardware I wanted was dumbfounded by the prices I found. So, I decided to build the hardware myself. The look I wanted for the back plates was to incorporate square, pyramid-headed nails on the four corners which is a common detail in furniture and hardware of the style…

Pros
  • This product was sturdier than what I could find in the store. Made it much easier to use.
Cons
  • Antique finish could clash with modern decor

Did the trick on my review.

I was looking for a tack with a big round head to hang a growth chart that had large grommet holes for hanging. These were perfect. They seem to be secure in the wall and look nice and subtle.

Pros
  • Just what I needed. Well made
Cons
  • May not be long enough for thicker materials

I love these little nails. They have decorative tops and look great to spruce up furniture. I used them to finish a large ottoman that I recovered. Everyone that comes to my house compliments me on how cute the piece is. These nails are too thick to push in with just your hands, so you do need to use a hammer, or at least I did. It also helps to use a dot of glue to really seal them in place if you’re using them in something that gets moderate use or they may pop out.

Pros
  • TIP COULD BE A LITTLE MORE SHARPER, FOR WHAT I'M USING THEM FOR THEY WORK GREAT
Cons
  • May not hold up well in extreme temperatures

Sturdy, good value - my new review

I needed a few good thumbtack like nails for project. I liked being able to buy a small quantity. The quality was fine and they look good

Pros
  • Affordable - These decorative nails are an affordable addition to your home decor projects, allowing you to add that extra design touch without breaking the bank
Cons
  • Could be too delicate for heavy usage

Perfect for hanging my tapestry

They work great. I hung up a tapestry on sheetrock wall with no problems and I used a hammer . Great price and really fast delivery, thanks

Pros
  • Perfect for what we needed. Good quality and look great.
Cons
  • Could be too flashy for some tastes

Good allpurpose tack

The only bone that I can pick is that you must use a soft mallet of some kind or the finish will scar. The manufacture of the tack is done very well in my opinion. The press process leaves it with nice distinct lines and without extra material showing. The bronze colored coating is good.

Pros
  • High-Quality and Durable - Made with high-quality materials, the Dritz Home Hammered Decorative Nails are durable and long-lasting, which ensures your decor stays looking good for years to come
Cons
  • Could easily become misplaced or lost

Needs manpower to push into wall.

I got these to help pin some fabric tapestries to my walls. I didn't know how thick the pin guage would be or how difficult it would be to push into the wall with a rounded head. I had to use a hammer but had to be really careful when aiming to hit the head. They're sturdy and strong though.

Pros
  • Works like it should...
Cons
  • May not be appropriate for children's rooms or play areas

A great tack in my review

If you want to place a new cover on a wooden chair this is a great product to use. I would recommend this product and this seller.

Pros
  • They seem to be pretty well built and look nice for the price.
Cons
  • May not be very forgiving if accidentally placed in the wrong spot
