Good quality good for ignition coils

This set of ignition coils and GM ground strap 12581176 solved the problem of all dash lights on and loss of power steering under hard acceleration with our 2006 Malibu Maxx.

Pros

Chevy Malibu for ignition parts

When accelerating on my 2006 Chevy Malibu, the power steering intermittently locked up. Swapping my ignition coil and adding a ground strip solved the problem. A fairly simple and cheap solution for those who are not that familiar with cars.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Quality part in Ignition Parts

This part is a great price and a great addition to tuning any car over 100,000 miles. It gave my engine a boost again. I have part from 09 Equinox. This will also solve problems with the electric power steering. Consider purchasing a ground strap after the sale.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • unreliable

Great replacement OEM

I used the Tekton tool to crank the engine forward (gearbox in neutral of course!). Then I removed the MAP sensor connector and the ignition coil connector from the old ignition coil. I then disconnected the six connector wires from the old coil. Then I unscrewed four screws from the old coil. I installed the new spool and finished the job in reverse order to removing the old spool. The machine runs perfectly!

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Faulty

Holy water for a crazy car

This is a redesigned coil pack for Chevy/Pontiac 3.4L/3.5L engines. My annoying and dangerous electric power steering failure situation on my 2005 G6 has been solved. If you're seeing battery warning lights, faulty sensors, and loss of electric power steering when accelerating, that's probably the cause. Replace it and add a ground strip from the driver's side front mounting bolt (ground there is) to the engine block. problems should go away.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

This item fits easily in a 2008 Chevy Impala, numbers match.

Installing this item was easy and I felt a huge difference from before and after installation. What I immediately noticed was that the idle on my Chevy Impala was nice and smooth, even when you parked the car. Before that he went out roughly, almost abruptly, the engine shook violently. My car now responds very well to the accelerator pedal, there used to be a power lag. I'm glad I look at Advanced Auto Parts to make sure I have the part I need and am very happy with this purchase.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • A newer model could have been chosen
