Such a waste of money

fast shipping is all I can say about this product. . . 5% of the time the light works, 95% it doesn't. Such a waste of money! Now it just sits on my tank, takes up space, looks brand new and is misleading.

Pros
  • hands free
Cons
  • crumpled

I've had a tank for over 10 years. .

I have had a tank for more than 10 years. One of the original hoods died about 10 months ago so I ordered this product and it just died out of nowhere. Another original is still going strong. Too expensive for a short time!

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Functionality

Complete nonsense! about aquarium lighting

I buy one of these lamps every year because they last as long as they last (the lamps are still in good condition). The last one I bought only lasted 9 months. A replacement costs almost $50?! You play with me! Now I want to replace the entire top of my system to avoid these bulbs. DO NOT SPEND MONEY ON THESE LAMPS.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Paid for an ALL GLASS AQUARIUM product - received an Aqueon product (that I just kicked out 2 days ago) formerly). Are these companies the same? This light is not very bright and on the last one the ballast died in less than 1 year! Very dubious quality. Dissatisfied.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Cheap price

Purchased in April 2017 and it worked well until May 2018 when it went out of service. I bought a new fluorescent tube but that didn't help so it's probably burned out and I'll be looking for a replacement again. Inexpensive and should definitely last more than 1 year for $40. I broke down and decided to buy it locally so if it breaks I can return it. It took a year and a half to come out. Unacceptable.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Long delivery

lasted 40 days. Can't go back Don't waste money.

Delivered on time November 1st. Worked until 12/11. It flashes instead of turning on. Pulled the plug, took the bulb out and put it back in. Finally he turned it on. Today when I tried to turn it on, it wouldn't turn on. Now it won't turn on at all. Even tried a new bulb and it didn't work. It only has a 30-day return period, so there is no right of recourse. I will call the seller to see if I can be happy.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Fits old fish tank for aquarium lights

These (requires 2) fit my 25 year old Walmart 55 gallon fish tank. I had to cut a tiny notch in the plastic to get it fully in place. In my opinion they're about twice as expensive as they should be, but I wanted to keep the original setup and was willing to pay more for scarce parts. All of the aquarium equipment (top, lights, air pump, bottom gravel filter, side filter, fish tank, solid wood stand) was $99 when sold in 1995. All I added is gravel, water, plants and fish. . Nice to continue.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Cord shorter than others

Cheap aquarium lighting ballast

The ballast died after years of use, which shouldn't have happened. I replaced the ballast with a new one from Revain (not difficult once you know the basic wiring). After examining the old ballast, I saw that the capacitor in it had swollen - a sure sign of using cheap parts. It's clear that this manufacturer uses inferior parts to increase profits at the expense of reliability. I'm not saying you shouldn't buy this light, but if you're willing to replace the ballast in a year or two. Like I…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Safety

Fragile, bullshit, Aqueon should be ashamed

First, I think All Glass is now Aqueon. I thought I would buy All Glass which from what I remember lasted longer than Aqueons. I wish I knew because I would never buy it again. Hello seller, why does the description say "all glass"? You knew damn well you weren't selling this, and it doesn't say "All Glass" anywhere on the box. But I need the light now as mine is broken and I don't have time to take care of it at the moment. I will definitely never buy one of these again now that I know the…
