Not ready for prime time!

You have a great camera but the NVR doesn't have many settings and options. Malfunctions with Mac (old software), Windows and iOS. Time!

Pros
  • Only positive
Cons
  • I have nothing wrong with it, everything is fine

So far so good - CCTV DVRs

This is my second Amcrest DVR. Both worked fine, there were no problems. I still have a few cameras in a test environment that I want to roll out this week.

Pros
  • Beautiful
Cons
  • Some little things

CCTV DVR sound problems

Great product but there are flaws in the design, there are 2 fans, one fan is very noisy, thought it was a malfunction and replaced it, but the same problem occurred, it should be better. If the power supply needs to be an external adapter, I replaced the fans with Noctua premium cooling. Very good quality, no sound problem solved

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • confused

Priceless but more functional than ever

I have previously purchased an Amcrest IP camera. I connected all my IP cameras to this DVR. easy to set up and easy to connect. I can control all cameras via an app on a PC or smartphone. I also have DVRs from different manufacturers. I compare these DVRs. Amcrest NVR is cheaper but more functional than ever. The total hard drive capacity of 20 TB supports long-term recordings in HD or 4K quality. I recommend this DVR.

Wait for the bugs to be fixed before you buy.

I bought this 16 camera home surveillance system and was initially very impressed with how easy it was to set up. However, the 5 Series NVR maintains an IP address that can only be accessed through the web browser function of the software. Although it opens the camera settings, we can't adjust the motion detection, sensitivity, etc. because the video won't load but we get the message "Resources are limited, the video stream could not be played". Tried twice with multiple browsers and tech…

Functionality and Reliability of the NVR

The NVR itself was very good, tested all interfaces plus 16 POE ports, checked the clarity of the cameras, motion detection and IR at night - great, works great, but I changed the resolution and the video disappeared, I could go Didn't go back to the NVR to reset the resolution, but there were no instructions on how to reset permission or restore factory settings. This is where I found out that their tech support is really bad. In the end I figured out how to open the NVR, found the reset…

Ok product! for DVRs

Easy to install, configure. All functions worked with description. The software has improved over the years. The noise of the power supply fan is quite high. About 54 dB measured. Nothing for a room where noise should be kept to a minimum. The ideal option would be a bigger and better fan with less noise. There is an error. Turning off the device from the menu does not turn off the power and the fan makes noise. I had to physically turn off the power. There were several older devices and none…

Amcrest NVR works perfect for me

I had a qsee nvr and it had a non working fan in the power supply, I called them and after a couple of hours I was spinning in circles glad I didn't get any Help from them, just I wanted to know the model/brand p/s. You did NOT give me the information. So I already had 5 Amcrest Wifi and POE cameras and never really had a problem. I did some research and found that this was the latest model for Amcrest 16 port NVR with POE, that was important as I have PoE cameras. I asked and people said I…
