The best dash cam with no Wi-Fi connection to the cameras.

I bought this as an upgrade for my zmodo 960H system. I spent a lot of time researching and wanted a DVR that wasn't POE or WiFi. I even bought two more and sent them back. Elek and Zosya. In the settings there was only a barcode, no IP. Yes, and the application for the phone was not very good. This Amcrest AMDV10818 may be the last of its kind with such a big focus on WiFi. I just set it up so I don't have all the answers. For example, I don't quite understand why there is a frame around one…

Q-SEE Camera Replacement

I have an 8 camera Q-See system and when the IR cut on one of the cameras stopped working I needed a replacement. Of course Q-See doesn't work anymore so I bought this Amcrest camera as it was analogue HD compatible. The camera is very similar to my Q-See camera, the power and BNC connectors are also the same. Assembly was easy as the hole patterns matched. Amcrest = Q-cm. In terms of quality, the camera is normal. Colors are more washed out than the Q-See, but close-up vision is good. If I had

Pros
  • Worth the money

Much better than the original cameras that came with the system. They have smaller but brighter infrared LEDs that illuminate the yard with black and white light, just like during the day. The 1080P resolution is noticeably better than the 720P cameras I replace, but to be honest I don't see what I would consider true high resolution in search and playback. It's still difficult to see details of faces etc. day or night. Daytime color saturation is true. When I think of high definition I think…

Noticed an immediate improvement in video quality.

Bought this to replace the OEM dome that came with the 8 input system with Gym DVR in our guest room. The camera's original video quality has degraded over time, making it "fuzzy," blurry and difficult to see familiar faces and what's in the room. Installed this device immediately upon receipt and noticed a dramatic improvement in video quality. Application over the home network, over the wireless network. Easy connection, installation and assembly. Only 2 DIP switches for format selection. Its

Great image quality, poor night vision

I love these little bullet cameras. Easy to install, great picture quality, everything appears to be metal except for the bracket. The night vision wasn't up to scratch. The description says 98ft but it was closer to 10ft. That's the only thing I didn't like. Oh, and the mount was a little tricky to get right. If you positioned it incorrectly during installation, it may be slightly misaligned. Have someone look at the image on the monitor while you mount it to make sure it looks right. But…

IR Flicker.: Surveillance Cameras

I ordered two white cameras. I have a black one that I bought a year ago and it works great. Apparently they've replaced the IR light in it, so you'll need a strong cable to power the camera. During the day they work fine, but at night the IR flickers. Buying a new dedicated power supply with a 1A connection to the camera did not solve the problem. I also tried another cable with the same problem. If you look at the difference between the models. You will see different IR settings between…

Amazing Security Cameras

I bought these cameras for my 16 channel Q See DVR because my Zosi cameras had terrible night vision. Resolution and perfect color during the day and really good night vision (better than 100ft) and also very clear. When my external lights are on they switch back to day mode and show crazy colors at night, none of my other cameras do this or even come close to the resolution of these cameras. My plan is to replace all my cameras with these over the next few months so I really hope they don't…
