Great little addition

This is a well made 100x oil unit. It blends in quickly and performs reasonably well. I use it on my Amscope and it's a great addition.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Poor glass quality on telescope and microscope accessories

After several uses and comparison with others, the quality of the glass does not allow us to see our samples clearly. This should not be attributed to handing out a bundle.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Poor performance

Good Quality Lens - Compatible with Celestron Microscope

Product comes as shown. It has a standard thread and fits my Celestron microscope perfectly. I'm new to working with microscopes and it seems that objective lenses are usually the same length to make it easier to focus when going to a higher magnification. This lens is much longer than the standard lenses on a Celestron microscope, so you'll need to practice focusing without getting too close to the correct focal length. I didn't have lentil oil on hand either, so I used olive oil instead…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Unreliable
