Works, but a bit indecent when signal level is already at minimum

Requires USB power cable connected to work. I would have preferred a micro-USB plug instead of the round power plug so that I could use a different cable length if necessary. Luckily that wasn't a problem for me. My gaming pc settings (g-sync, 144hz, 1440p) worked great right out of the box! So it was really nice. I had some issues with my work laptop going from USBC to DP and then to the switch. I'm pretty sure the work laptop's signal was at a lower acceptable level, so adding extra wire…

Wanted it to work - Computers and Accessories

Bought this little guy to replace the Displayport extension. I needed to connect my work laptop to a personal monitor without having to crawl across the floor to reconnect the cable to my personal desktop at the end of the work day. No, the laptop could not detect the monitor with this switch. The switch only displays the channel from my personal desktop on the monitor. dreams are broken It goes back to the extension cord, and it goes back where it came from. (desktop picture was good)

Reliable device with chunky cable management

This works very well in my assembled KVM setup which has another device for switching the keyboard, mouse and other peripherals. The only complaint is that, as others have pointed out, it would be much cleaner and easier to place all the plugs on the back of the device (although the other switch I have for my USB peripherals has the same design flaw). I realize it's probably cheaper to make, but I'd pay ten bucks more for a better layout. You could probably deduct a star for that, but it works…

Good DisplayPort switch at a good price

Works very well. I use it to share a display on two computers. The transitions between displays appear to be fairly smooth. However, the arrangement of the cables on the desk is a bit awkward. With two cables coming out opposite each other, there's no good way to place it on the back edge of a table. In fact I have it on the side, the button is facing me. Aside from that little clumsiness, I'm very happy with how it works.

There may be a problem with the docking station.

This requires a constant 5V supply. Many images that show this do not show this. (Okay, let's dig a little deeper.) This device case is metal and definitely has an industrial look to it. This is nothing negative, just sharing information. I think that without the docking station, the problem described below would have disappeared. >>>>>>>Here's the gist, this doesn't work the way I thought it would. The docking station may cause some lag. thoughts are welcome. PARTS…

The description is full of lies

This product just doesn't work as described and I'm willing to bet thousands of dollars that the seller knows. This switch barely works at most resolutions, even at 59 Hz. The description says this runs at 1440p at 120Hz and higher. Let me make a correction, if you flip the switch over 200 times, it can run at 120Hz+ a total of 3 times. This switch does not always offer a specific level of performance. When I change the display settings, my monitor goes haywire for a full 30 seconds. If I'm…

Works for 2560 x 1440 @ 75Hz and 144Hz

I need a dual port DisplayPort KVM that doesn't cost hundreds of dollars. I have two 2560 x 1440 monitors: ASUS PA278QV (60/75 Hz) and BenQ EX2780Q (60/120/144 Hz). I am very pleased to confirm that this KVM works flawlessly with both monitors at all refresh rates listed above. I was a little hesitant as the Q&A didn't specifically state 75Hz for 1440p. And there's a one-star rating for this KVM that doesn't run at a higher refresh rate. But I'm glad I tried this product as it works great with…

  • Expensive Insurance

I bought this to use as a display switcher between my work laptop (Macbook Pro 2019) and Windows desktop with RTX 3080. The result is connected to Acer x34 at 3440 x 1440p at 100Hz (using GSync on PC). I connected a USB cable to my monitor's USB hub, which I just manually plug in between computers. An alternative to this setup prior to purchasing this switch was to connect my MacBook's Thunderbolt dock output to an HDMI equipped monitor, which limited me to 3440 x 1440 at 50Hz, but now I get a…
