Covered in faux fur, the tree has a pressed wood base. Basket measuring 12" diameter provide a rest place for cats and kittens, it is great for hide and play. Easy to assemble with step by step instruction and tools.

Small cats only, unstable, not well made, ramp does not touch the ground

The lower ramp does not touch the ground unless it is pushed down when the upper case is screwed in, making it very unstable. The house is too small, as is the hammock. Made for small cats under 8lbs or kittens, my 13.5lb boy can't lie in a hammock or move through the cute opening. Armakat is a great brand, I went with it as my first Armakat blade is amazing, but the blade I received today was mismanufactured and ridiculously small.

Allow 2 hours for assembly and prepare pliers.

The first part of the assembly went pretty quickly. Scale (stud and shelf are the same size) making part identification difficult. The last part of the build took 3 times longer than the first part. This scratching post must be placed in a corner where it is supported from 2 sides. Tip: Assemble the smaller parts of the main poles before adding the poles, and there are extra holes for adding hanging toys, no top center hole.
