Too much cable slack.

Too much slack in the cable not providing proper tension at every setting and not allowing you to select all gears. Next time I will use OEM.

Pros
  • Cable
Cons
  • So far so good

Fixed the mount and it works great now.

I received 2 of these cables, the first one is perfect for my friend 99 Silverado with extended cab. The second one I ordered was slightly different than the first and didn't work on my extended cab '99 Silverado until I realized that my mounting bracket was bent. Fixed the mount and it works great now.

Pros
  • Shift Cable
Cons
  • Ugly Package

Chinese Quality - Shift Cable

I think you are better off with OEM but it worked. Hence the 3 stars. The first one broke after 5 minutes of use. The end literally flexed when I flipped the switch. The replacement sent was ok. So maybe defective? Also, the first clamp to adjust the cable didn't snap into place. The second picked the lock. The rest of the replacement works perfectly. So maybe I got a bad one. but the quality is ok. Next time I'll take an OEM.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Communicate with seller

Don't buy this cable! After installing it I tried to adjust it but it has too much play and won't allow all gears to engage no matter how you adjust it. The lever was also very difficult to shift and the cable wasn't pinched anywhere. Unfortunately I didn't install it right away and missed the opportunity to return it, now I haven't spent the money. Do yourself a favor, buy an OEM cable, it costs extra money not to install it, try to set it up, find it doesn't work, uninstall and reinstall…

Pros
  • Spare parts
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
