A wonderful product, it's nice to use.

In terms of price / sound quality - an excellent choice. I don’t like bass, so I specifically looked for headphones specifically for good vocals, which I got. I recommend listening before buying, so that later you will not be disappointed by the lack of bass or volume. I took them on order at a big discount, and the sound was not that disappointing, but it just didn’t turn out the way I expected, and only for this 4 stars and for the ear pads. The rest is a complete 5. (added 06/14/17):…

Pros
  • Great sound for its price. Not perfect, but very good. (More in the comment) Gorgeous vocals. If you need headphones to hear a clear voice, then these headphones are just for you.
Cons
  • Convenience. Cable. Personally, I lack volume in terms of sound. (Wide Stage) Headphones are not comfortable on my head. After 10 minutes of listening, they put pressure on the ears. I ordered more comfortable Aliexpress + ear pads for the night, put them on a wide object to stretch. It became more or less. (More in the comment) The cable needs to be purchased. But since I listen to most of the time at home, I decided to save on them. The sound is good and pleasant. The vocals are especially cool. I have never heard such vocals in any headphones under $100, but it seemed to me that there was not enough volume, or something. I especially feel this after I take off my two-driver plugs and put on the m40x. But for the price, it's just nitpicking. (More in the comment)

Think carefully before you buy this product

Today my review will be about the product Audio Technica ATHM40X Professional Monitor Headphones. I bought to replace this AKG K371 (also monitors) for 3500r, they sound much better, the sound is soft in them, it’s nice to listen, not that these don’t understand what . (cashback 1k + code for -500r from SberMM + -1900 amazon bonuses at the checkout) ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMEND TO PURCHASE audio-technica ath-m40x

Pros
  • Good fit on the head
Cons
  • The sound is plastic, the high frequencies are cut, as if I had bought headphones for 500 in the passage .

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am very happy with this purchase, I will advise everyone!

Bought at a discount for six thousand kopecks, a pretty attractive price for this level of sound and the quality of the headphones themselves. Good plastic, material of wires and all other details. The sound is pleasant, the headphones convey all the nuances of the sound, the bass is powerful, juicy, but without harshness. Perfectly balanced, just right for any lazy person who wants a quality product at a reasonable price without the need for large additional investments and spending time on…

Pros
  • Price, workmanship, sound quality.
Cons
  • Tight like a head in a vise.

I do not cease to rejoice at the purchase, a very good deal!

Today I will write my product review on Audio Technica ATHM40X Professional Monitor Headphones. Headphones chose a long time. With a budget of up to 7k. Chose these. Before that, he sat on his ears for 1500. The difference in sound is huge. Larger scene and much more detail. You start hearing jokes in tracks, ending with sound defects in editing videos on YouTube. Their frequency response is close to ideal.

Pros
  • Very nice materials, beautiful design, high-quality wires, sound
Cons
  • Indeed, a little pressure, but on top of my head)

I am satisfied, the purchase is quite successful.

A few words about my personal use of the product Audio Technica ATHM40X Professional Monitor Headphones. When they crashed a couple of times from a meter height, when lifting them from the floor, I assumed a shift in the "centering" of the speakers, a crack somewhere in the details of the "headband" and the upcoming funeral. Rumors of death were greatly exaggerated. It was a joy. Pleasant discoveries!

Pros
  • First: sound quality. Addressing those who complain about the imbalance of frequencies - I inform you: This model has proven itself very well when listening to audio products from "classical symphony orchestra" to "unbearable shock-bass pressing". "Naughty"? Undoubtedly! If you do not have experience handling. Hint: When transferring headphones from one device to another - let them "get used" to the new sound source. In 2-3 hours, low, medium, and high frequencies will be available to you in full accordance with the declared characteristics.
Cons
  • I have no such comments for the selected product. Full compliance with price and quality. I almost forgot! I read in reviews about claims about "compression", "tightness" and so on. Question: If you have a size 43 foot, how will your feet feel if you wear shoes in size 41-42? The same sensations are experienced by your head and ears when the size of your head and the external characteristics of the "Audio-Technica" ATH-M40x do not match. Hint: If you feel excessive arc pressure, wear headphones at night on something that resembles the size of your head. Do not be afraid! Nothing bad will happen to the "headband" ! If you can't fit your ears: Spending a couple of thousand more - take "ATH-50". The difference in size in a larger direction - should exhaust your suffering.

Great value for the money, definitely recommended!

Here is my real review after a considerable time of using the product Audio Technica ATHM40X Professional Monitor Headphones. Excellent earphones, took for work and at home to listen to music. I’m not an audiophile, so the quality is fine with me. I have been using it for about half a year, I ordered more ear pads from aliexpers, because. the ears are large and the wire is 1 meter. Headphones for half a year every day I yearn in a backpack with me from home to work, no defects were found.

Pros
  • Comfortable to sit Good sound Detachable wire
Cons
  • No short cable included

A really necessary purchase, Im glad I found this product.

After 2 days of active "warming up" they played much better than immediately after the purchase. The sound became softer, more balanced. Over time, I think it will get better. I'm not going to scatter about frequencies, blockages and all the details of the sound (I'm not an expert), but for me as an ordinary user this is the most balanced and suitable sound for this price. In any case, before buying, I recommend listening to (pre-heated) headphones. For everyone, everything is individual. I…

Pros
  • The price-quality ratio is very good. The materials, despite the plastic, are very high quality and feel solid. Restrained and strict design. The sound is very high quality.
Cons
  • Comes with 2 cords, both 3 meters long. Not enough short 1.2 meters. At first, a little too much pressure on the head. Over time, either you get used to it, or they wear out and become less uncomfortable. Cups only rotate in one direction.

Upset and disappointed, the product is very bad!

I bought them in 2022, the headphones do not meet the requirements at all, for a much lower price, you can take a closer look at the Creative Aurvana Live! they also have drawbacks, but they are easily corrected by an equalizer, we take and lower the volume by 5 decibels in the 100-400Hz zone, we get headphones that are almost perfect in sound in the price range of ~ 70 dollars.

Pros
  • For 8-9k, no. (Headphones within ~ 2k, no more, for a rating of 4)
Cons
  • 1) Very loud booming bass of undamped jars. 2) Faded middle, the vocals are distant, there is not enough liveliness to the instruments. 3) Loud, but rather cutting ear tops turning into a thin whistle in the 10-14kHz zone. 4) The feeling of stereo space, somewhere at the level of the head. 5) Not even suitable for games, the sound is like in a pit.

Ears are not suitable for listening to music for music lovers. AFC is flat. They are good for sound engineers and musicians to reveal the intricacies of recording and sounding. This is not a toy, but a tool! Sub bass is not enough, but enough. Nothing buzzes. From 30Hz to 1kHz MEGA ULTRA EXACTLY! Somewhere from 1.1 to 2.1kHz - not a big blockage (in fact, not critical). But at high frequencies, you can feel the rise in the harmonics (if there is a good reference, you can tune it out using the…

Pros
  • 1 - SOUND! (but it is not for everyone, the headphones are still professional with a flat frequency response) 2 - assembly. 3 - convenience (although this is an individual parameter. But my ears, and they are pressed, are very comfortable. A touch is felt a little - so whoever's ears stick out will not be comfortable and will have to buy separate ear pads). 4 - soundproofing (closed-type headphones - you can't hear, they can't hear you) 5 - interchangeable cable (but it is unique. Only native will do. I have not met third-party manufacturers) 6 - collapsible (with my migrations, that's it)
Cons
  • Well, I don’t even know . Probably just the lack of a short cable and you can’t find it.

I want my money back! Disgusting product and poor quality.

I was delighted with the sound, I put the blue yetti microphone into the 3.5 connector. But saddened crack shackle, which appeared after 8 months of operation. Now the issue is being resolved through the 2022 site ATH and SC, which are indicated on it. They say that you need to change the headband, I live in the region, to the nearest SC where these ears are dealt with ~ 300 km, the repair period is from 3 months. An inner feeling will tell you that the problem is unlikely to be solved. Again…

Pros
  • Sound, appearance
Cons
  • The Japanese quality let us down, I didn’t go on the street, I bought it in aliexpress for 6800

I do not cease to rejoice at the purchase, a very good deal!

I note that I don’t feel excessive pressure from the ear cushions - it is small in comparison with the HyperX Cloud headset that has been used for a long time. I solved the problem with the sound on my computer by plugging in a Creative SB Z that had been lying around for a long time with a connection to a dedicated headphone output - just earth and sky in comparison with the sound on the built-in codec (quite high-quality ALC1200) both in expressiveness and in terms of volume reserve (of…

Pros
  • - excellent sound: bright, but almost without embellishment; - good sound insulation; - sane price for such a sound; - high-quality materials and assembly; - a good package.
Cons
  • - on the built-in codec of the motherboard or a regular phone they sound very quiet and dry; - the headband slightly presses (the head is large) and the depth of the ear cushions is a little lacking; - no short cable included.

The right product for me, there were no problems.

I have AKG K-271 STUDIO headphones. They are already 10 years old. So you just don’t want to wear them, they sound very dry, detailed and cold, they are only suitable for looking for jambs in the recording. So I decided to buy something more pleasant-sounding, suitable for home studio and to play bass and guitar in them sometimes. Listened to 4 models in Doctorhead: AUDIO-TECHNICA ATH-M40X SHURE SRH 440 SENNHEISER HD 280 PRO SONY MDR-7506 I listened to different music in them: guitar…

Pros
  • Sound, 2 wires included, detachable cable, workmanship. They sit very comfortably on the head. You forget that you can not shoot in them for thousands of years.
Cons
  • Not found yet.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A great option for this money, one of the best offers.

For a very long time I wanted to buy decent headphones for myself, as a result I settled on this model, I listen mainly to heavy music and electronic music, they play very nicely, but they also show themselves very worthy in other genres. Summarizing all of the above, if you are not a sophisticated audiophile, then you are 99% likely to get the sound of these headphones.

Pros
  • Excellent tasty sound, a sufficient amount of low frequencies, good mids and highs that do not cut the ear.
Cons
  • The kit includes 2 cables and both are 3 meters, which is not very comfortable if you use them outdoors.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great quality, happy with it one hundred percent!

And most importantly: the sound! The ATH M40x is my first workhorse for recording and mixing almost exclusively with VST instruments. And this horse plows in good conscience. No, their sound, of course, is not ideally analytical. But it is without pronounced "embellishments". This is the sound without steroids. For these purposes, the M40x also has more cunning (and slightly more expensive) competitors, like the DT 770 PRO. So, as always, we listen first and only then we buy. Speaking of…

Pros
  • Hereinafter - exclusively subjective experience of use. 1. Price / quality 2. Good assembly, strong construction, secure fixation of the temple length. 3. Two removable relatively long cables included (twisted, straight)
Cons
  • 1. Ear pads.

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The product did not cause delight, but you can use it.

My headphones have arrived. These are my first over-ear headphones. To be honest, I was expecting something more. I use it through a smartphone in conjunction with a DAC. I don't know guys, I experienced a feeling of disappointment. I can not say that the sound is somehow bad, but it is just normal. I have headphones for 800 inside channel and they sound about the same. Maybe just the phone does not open the headphones, but even if so, the sound is no different from cheap headphones. I did not…

I do not cease to rejoice at the purchase, a very good deal!

The sound is fat, the bass and highs are a little highlighted, personally I highlight them a little more, I love the distorted juicy sound. Very repairable. Spiral spring wire is not bad at all. Ears are full, there is no discomfort. Please note that these are closed-type headphones, after half an hour it becomes hot in them. But that doesn't bother me personally. If you are a gentle dude with tender ears, they will press. In principle, there were Philips before, they were put on for the night…

Pros
  • Meaty sound, detachable wire, replaceable ear pads
Cons
  • The folding mechanism is cool, but it folds when not needed (from any awkward movement)

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A really necessary purchase, Im glad I found this product.

Buying forty was completely conscious. I like the sound better than the fifty. It is more even, without excessive accents on the bottoms and tops, such as I like. And the price is more adequate, there is no extra money. I consider the use of these headphones with average smartphones to be an unjustified exercise, but maybe someone will like it. The bass does not seem deep enough and powerful, somewhat muffled, but the accent is still preserved. But the middle and top are reproduced quite…

Pros
  • Good reliable design, high-quality materials, excellent truthful sounding. Detachable quality cables with original lock. Pivoting cups for improved head fit orientation. Quite large and soft, comfortable ear pads. My ears fit in them entirely.
Cons
  • Only one thing upsets me - the lack of a short 1.2 m cable. I was willing to pay a little extra for it.

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A good and high-quality product, but there are disadvantages.

I changed the ear pads, they generally blocked everything, but the initially inexpressive sound cannot be dragged in by anything, it’s not even very convenient to mix it in them, because they don’t convey an adequate picture at all Got pros: Well, they seem durable, plus a replaceable wire and foldable. Its cons: in native ear pads, using them is generally torture, the sound is like from a barrel, tight and oaky.
