Two are definitely better than one!

I've had an old Bose SoundDock Portable for about 10 years and wanted to replace it with something smaller that sounds better but is just as loud. That narrowed my list down to Beoplay A1, JBL Charge 3 and the new Bose Revolve. The JBL was the cheapest on the list and arguably louder than the A1 and Revolve, but the A1 just sounded a lot cleaner and the bass, while slightly lower, was more accurate than the Charge 3. The new Bose Revolve just doesn't Sound quality but it has better 360…

It's easy to get a 5 star rating

This is one of the easiest 5 star ratings I've ever given. This speaker is just fantastic. I would describe myself as "the audiophile next door". I'm a musician whose ears have evolved somewhat over time, but I'm not the kind of person who can bring himself to spend thousands of dollars on audio. (At least not now.) Before buying the Beoplay A1, my favorite audio product was definitely the HiFiMan 400S headphones. I love them and they make for a fantastic listening experience. Meanwhile, I…

Must read if you want to turn on the speaker(s) remotely and more tips

First to the speakers. I ordered two and was able to connect them together in stereo. The connection was never stable, the sound on the slave speaker would turn on and off. I'm sending one back. Sounds good in mono too, at least it's better than not having a speaker connected all the time. Many people return speakers for two reasons: First, they cannot remotely turn on the speaker after it goes to sleep (speaker not working). Falling asleep even with the power plugged in is very annoying)…

Like it but still no better than Bose or Beoplay A2

Over the years I have tested many Bluetooth speakers (non-portable, portable and ultra-portable) as well as headphones and earphones. While I'm clearly not an audiophile, I like the best sound - in the car, at home, in the office - and listen a lot at the same time to ensure reliable A/B feedback. I usually test them, send back the bad ones and keep the good ones. So I have one. As for the larger Bluetooth speakers, my favorites are Polk Woodbourne and Aiwa Exos-9. As for wearing, I love the…
