This kit is perfect for our 2005 Jaguar XJ8 VDP. .

This kit is perfect for our 2005 Jaguar XJ8 VDP. The included T40 bolts are a huge improvement over the OEM T27 type. No more liquid leaks around the swamp!

The tub seal is defective 2 days after installation.

The replacement cost me an additional $166. The seller will not reimburse the cost of replacing the seal or labor. The rest of the kit appears to work correctly, but the seller's absolute refusal to fix the pan gasket failure gives the entire kit a 1 star rating.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Very expensive

Very happy with what I bought but don't be stupid like me and try to save a few bucks buy a full kit with five top tubes and fluid, this is the only way to go bmw i wish i wasn't that chevrolet guy i'm learning 😎

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Almost never

Worked well for my BMW 650I

I was concerned that a non-OEM filter/pan would cause problems based on suggestions on the internet. This one was half the price of the OEM and didn't have the restrictive filter issue mentioned on many do-it-yourself fluid change sites. I'm pretty sure the pan is made in Germany. Other seals were made in China I believe. I used it on a zf6hp28 gearbox.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Some imperfections

cheap screws. Correct landing.

Good fit but better screws needed. One of the heads of these screws fell off when installing the pallet. I had a set of torque wrenches. I unscrewed the broken bolt by hand. This shows how cheap the screws are. Still, for the price, I would use the stock pan screws. Also, I want it to come with four tubes for the valve body. X5 48i 2009 109k miles

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

X5 transmission happy again

My mechanic wouldn't change the 'lifetime' fluid in my 105,000 mile X5. My son and I adopted this set. I had to do a little work removing the pan, pulling out the mechatronics, and then replacing all the gaskets between the gearbox and mechatronics. The oil pan replacement went well and now the rough switching episodes are gone. Not that I have a clean sump/filter, I'll probably change the fluid again in about 30,000 miles. Remember that factory fluid is the life of the GEAR, not the life of…

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Some issues

Works great in pans and drain plugs

What the doctor ordered is an order of magnitude cheaper than the dealer. Something in the pan was rattling in the filter, maybe lightning or something that would get caught in the filter media, so I wasn't worried about that. Don't forget the 4 pipe gaskets that also fit between the valve body and gearbox. Also, they are not included in this kit, but you still need to replace them.

  • WARRANTY - Aftermarket product order from Bapmic, we offer 1 year warranty, truly hassle-free shopping experience.

You need to replace 4 tubes while you are there.

They fit perfectly and all the details were in the description. Great YouTube video on how to change the transmission oil on a 2008 BMW x5. This kit requires four short tubes of different lengths. If you remove the transmission oil pan and valve module and replace the round pipe that goes into the right rear of the transmission and the dual seal (bridge), you will also need to replace the four pipes. Not a very difficult task after watching the video as it also shows the sequence and torque…
