Description of ๐Ÿ”ฒ Bastex 5-Piece 4x6 inch Rubber Stamping Blanks. Linoleum Block for Stamp Making, Printmaking and Lino Carving Blocks. Easy Design Print in White and Black.

Each set comes with 5 linoleum blocks. Each Block Measures 5 & 7/8 x 4 x 1/4 inch. Plenty of room to get really creative. With a white surface and a black colored interior it helps you see exactly what your print will look like once completed. Use your tools and cut into these blocks and get to printing. The material is soft enough to get really detailed. Carve your art and then transfer to all different types of mediums. Works great as a diy stamp. Use a cutter to cut into the block, make the image you want, paint over the block and then transfer it to what ever you want, its that easy!

I love them - great product

Easy to use, soft enough to cut without much resistance but hard enough to draw clean lines. Relatively phenomenal value, I would buy again

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • Long wait

Soft blocks that are easy to use.

My first attempt at making Christmas cards was very successful. These blocks are very soft and fun, if you don't detail too much, lino is so soft it breaks easily. Unfortunately, my first print was thrown away for this reason, so be careful!

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Annoying

Big Block!: Scrapbooking and Stamping

These blocks are wonderful. I've tried different types of Easy Carve blocks and these are by far my favorites. They are MUCH harder than other easy to carve blocks like the pink speedball blocks, but still easy to carve. I found the black and white design extremely helpful.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Ideal for lino beginners!

An alternative to rubber is ideal for beginning linoleum cutters. If your focus is on more detailed prints I would recommend switching to real linocut as you have better control over those fine details. The rubber option is also great as it allows you to slide better compared to linoleum. Also cheaper.

Pros
  • Cut out the block with the cutter, create the image you want, paint over the block, then transfer it to what you want, it's that simple!
Cons
  • Update available

It's easy to work with, the two tone gum is great

I'm new to carving and found this gum to be easy to work with. I also really like the two tone white top and black bottom. This will give you a really good idea if you're cutting deep enough, as well as a better idea of how your design will look when it's finished.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors are here

Suitable for hand printing but not compatible with a printing press

Overall the blocks were very easy to cut and the black core made it easy to distinguish what was supposed to be printed from what wouldn't It was. However, when used on a printing press, the prints warped due to block stretch. As the pressure is reduced, the prints become indistinct. I would recommend using this product for manual printing but not for the press.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as others

FLEXIBLE/FLEXIBLE but great for printing onto linoleum blocks

I'm used to working with linoleum blocks that have a solid base like wood. They have rubber on both sides that can be etched, one side is thicker than the other, and the middle is black rubber that is flexible. I used the thick white side to cut out the pattern. This material held the ink very well - it was easy to get a thin layer and the print was very consistent, the black areas were completely black. On the same day I used a traditional wooden base with the same ink and reminded myself howโ€ฆ

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Available in white only
