Don't install the spring seat upside down like I did.

2002 4Runner. These racks are supplied without bushings and top post brackets. There are cheaper shock absorbers that come with these devices. Don't install the spring seat upside down like I did. I should have gone ranchos or OEM.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons

Increases ground clearance, does not come with bushings

Without bushes and washers. You should reuse worn bushings or try to find new ones. They're longer than stock and increase front ground clearance, making your 4Runner look like it's trying to get on the wheels (check out the YouTube video). Quality product, poor fit. After installing them and getting frustrated, I settled on the Moog Quick Strut. They are alright. Bilstein would have been better if it had fitted properly.

  • Absolutely amazing!

Great replacement for the stock

I noticed that on my 1999 full extension 4Runner SR5 4WD they were longer than the stock Tokico, otherwise they fit well. Bushings are not included so either buy new or use existing ones. The springs are very stiff and it's scary to compress them with screw compressors, but it's not as bad as it sounds. although using a wall compressor (if available) is probably the best and quickest method. Reinserting them is a little tricky due to their extra length. I had to use a bottle jack on the upper…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Really don't like it, it's ok
