I didn't expect such good quality, I thought it was more of a toy but it's a real microscope :D My 3 year old is fascinated by it. I thought it might be a bit early for him but he is actually having so much fun! It's easy to use and keeps you busy for hours :D He's learning so much I'm just amazed.

Professional microscope at an entry-level price. I bought and returned 3 other microscopes before I found this one. It has all the features I was looking for unlike any others I've found in the same price range - an on/off switch, fine and coarse focus adjustment, and adjustable lighting. It also has crystal clear optics. Very happy with this microscope!

This was a gift for my grandson who is very interested in almost all sciences. Seeing the excitement on his face when he sees new discoveries and worlds he didn't know about is a gift to me. He soaks up knowledge like a sponge and I imagine that as he gets older he will be on the lookout for an even more powerful one. He always wanted to be a scientist, and that gives him a lot of opportunities to see through the world.

Home schooling in the family. We like this microscope, the ease of use and the focus quality. It comes with master slides and blank slides so kids have something to look at right away. It takes a little practice to learn how to focus, but after a few minutes it becomes quite easy. This scope gives a good clear picture. I took some photos with my iPhone for reference. It's very interesting to look at things on a microscopic level. Kids are now learning how to make onion pattern foils!

I love the product and I think my son will love it. My only annoyance with all of this is that they haven't created a good reason for parents to keep their investment going. Without a good case, it's very difficult to keep organized with just the styrofoam included in the kit. I would tell the company that you make such a good product, don't go cheap even if you have to raise the price send the case along!

I believe I was also used or returned. There are scratches and dust. They don't seem to want to be strict on quality control, although there have been some complaints about this. In terms of function, I found the 25x eyepiece didn't work as well as the 10x eyepiece. It's kind of blurry and dark. They seem to be of different quality. Bought this for my youngest child - we wanted a better microscope than the all in one kits, with LED lighting and a large field of view. Pros: Comes with 2 eyepieces (10x and 25x), LED lighting under the stage, and coarse/fine focus knobs are smooth.
