I bought this paint for a brushing class I was attending. I have been painting with watercolors for about 6 years now and find this technique unusual but fascinating. Buy some books and take lessons. There are many ways to use this color. Love it.

The only thing wrong with this product is that it makes you want more colors. They are bright and beautiful. I will definitely take a few more with me to my camp. Use sparingly for best effect on paper or mix with water in palette to apply to paper. Perfect!

I'm a watercolor painter and I didn't think I'd like them but I really do. They're funny! And to achieve some textures and effects that my regular watercolor paints can't achieve due to the powdered formula. I like the fact that each color is actually a series of added colors, it adds interest. I like to sprinkle them on already damp watercolor paper, you can also start dry and then spray with water etc. I am happy with my purchase.

I liked these colors better than the 8 and 12 color sets. Don't overdo it with this brand, there are plenty of others to try. It says "crystal color", implying a magical scattering effect or flash of color. It's just powder paint for water like other brands. The dispersing effect is achieved by lightly "sprinkling" the powder with water. The included water bottle looks pretty flimsy so there is no value in this set.

Lightly speckled on paper, these watercolors are great fun. In fact, just a few crumbs is a LOT! Some of my students come to me during break hoping to do something fancy, and these paints are just what you need when you want to get amazing results in a very short amount of time.
