I love that old camera

I love that old camera. I bought this new card in 2008 for $250 from Best Buy and got 2 SD cards for $25 each. I took it with me on a 6 month trip to New Zealand and the 16MP camera was the bomb! I actually printed out some photos from this trip, enlarged them and framed them to hang in my apartment. This is a simple and clear camera. I still prefer a real camera to take the right photos instead of shooting with my phone. The society we have become. Recommend this camera.

Good camera for every day.

I took it on a trip to Japan. I have a video camera but decided it was too difficult to carry the beast so I used this lightweight camera to take commemorative pictures. The quality is very good and I can put it in my pocket. The battery lasts a long time, in 6 months of use it has never been changed. This is my everyday camera that I use at home. The price is reasonable. The only downside is that in broad daylight I can't see the image I'm taking on the screen due to glare. You must turn away…

Requires a memory card

I don't know why, all the descriptions of this camera don't say "Uses SDHC, not included". I had to go to the Canon website to look through the information and find the information I needed. Other than that, very important information for me, this is a great little camera. It does everything I want to do with it and it makes it super easy. It's not a big, expensive, professional camera, but I didn't need it. Another thought by the way. It might not need to be said, but this is pretty much a…

Good everyday camera: Digital cameras

I'm not a photographer and don't know anything about cameras. Canon seems to have a good reputation in general and that was true of my 14 year old daughter. She loves to take pictures and with an additional SD card she was ready to go straight away. She likes it very much. It's a simple point and shoot with a few additional options. It has more resolution than we need and she can take the batteries with her wherever she needs them. Good combination. The first one we received had a problem with…

Digital camera Canon PowerShop A810

Bought for my father-in-law's 90th birthday as he was still shooting with a disposable 35mm film camera. This camera is a pretty basic camera - point and shoot is what I wanted for this. The ONLY problem is that it's quite small and very slippery, making it difficult not to fall off when the button is pressed. I'll try some strategically placed velcro or something else that will help him hang the camera. The seller was fast with the delivery. The box was a little battered and I didn't feel like

Pros

CHDK (Camera Hack Development Kit) lets you do amazing things. (I suggest you do a Google search for CHDK, it's amazing for Canon cameras!) This camera becomes a super camera with features to rival SLRs and more. The photo quality is excellent. Battery consumption is average with rechargeable batteries, with good 2500 mAh batteries. I bought a couple of these and mounted them side by side on a custom made stand and used CHDK to use their USB ports so both could take a picture at the same time…

The time between shots is more than one second.

This review from Stan. I like the small size, I especially like that it uses rechargeable AA batteries and I'm happy with the picture quality. Very nice little aiming and shooting with macro, flash, small zoom (tele) and video. This is a good hiking camera. I keep mine in a bag to protect it from dust and water. My problem is that it doesn't even take 2 frames as fast as you can press the button, there is a very annoying time gap between the 2nd, 3rd and 4th frame. LONG, I just counted 2…

Great little camera for the price

I bought this camera to replace one I thought had been lost at work. Price was the most important factor and it had to be Canon. I bought it based on some positive reviews and didn't have high expectations. So I was very pleasantly surprised when it arrived. The camera is small and light. It's smaller than I expected and thin. Everything is plastic and feels solid. It has no viewfinder. The LCD screen is large for such a small camera and shows good detail in outdoor lighting. Degraded quality…
