I had to take my GoPro camera on the plane but I also needed something for my spare batteries as TSA does NOT allow spares in checked baggage. That was excellent. I kept my GoPro, 2 batteries (not including the one in the camera), charger and charging cable in a protective case. I was also able to keep it in my shoulder bag. It's been a few days since I've used the GoPro Hard Case and it seems to do the trick. It's a bit small and I didn't like the fact that they put the GoPro5 in it, but when the case arrived it didn't have room for the GroPro Hero4 LCD and charger. The GoPro5 has a much larger dual battery charger that will most likely never be needed in this case. You can also forget about the floating GoPro grip in this case, as it will never fit. The snug fit of this well-made case better insulates my Zoom F6 field recorder. I was looking for a case to no avail and knew I had to start looking for compact GoPro cases to find one.
