Not all batteries have arrived.

I really like these so bought a new one when mine died. However, the new one arrived with only two batteries. So I couldn't use the new one. Now I'm stuck trying to find the box to return it or eat up the money I paid for it. I wish it had been checked by QC before leaving. Maybe that wouldn't have happened. I'll try to find batteries online to see if I can use them to avoid a 30+ day delay in restocking and waiting for a new one to arrive.

Pros
  • High marks for tester support and durability

ROCKHOUNDS REJOY!

That thing is damn cool! Absolute MUST for Rockhounds! Now that I have it, I will take it with me everywhere. The loupes I got in my mineral kits when I did the geology exam are fine, but they only give 10x magnification. The thing does 60x-100x and lights up! I struggled to see the crystal structures of the stones I collected in Baghdad through a $20 microscope. Since I didn't have any stone tools there (other than my couple of mugs, my stone hammer and chisel) I had to try to chip off pieces…

One of my favorite Revain purchases

I love this damn thing! I had one a few years ago that I bought online from another seller where it cost twice as much and I can tell you it was worth it then and at half the price it's more than worth it now. I lost my love and have been thinking about her ever since. I stumbled upon this and I'm so happy! It works really great. It just comes in handy so often that it's worth buying. I highly recommend it. You may worry that it's cheap because it's cheap, but it's really well made. The grips…

a lot of. People are just never happy.

works great, right out of the box I focused it and looked at my ugly skin pores. it's small. about the size of an ordinary lighter, maybe a little more. I'm 28 years old and I lived in a time when not everything was automatic or digital and the knobs are not difficult to turn at all, they resist them so as not to lose the focus set. You don't want to be able to accidentally move the setting. zoom 60-80x is not quiet 100x. but still the pictures are very clear. The colors come out great and I…

Pros
  • Great for a small home

Great little microscope!

My kids LOVE this microscope. I bought this during a lightning sale and will definitely buy it again! I've spent a lot more on microscopes that I didn't think were half as good. Sure there are better ones out there, but if you're looking to spend under $50 for something simple, I'd say go for it! It's so small I can honestly put it in my purse. I really take it with me when we go to a meeting because my kids love using it for waiting room things. Because it's small and bulky, we take it outside

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Hard to tell

-Works as advertised-

There were some shipping issues as FedEx traveled across the country just to drop it off at the USPS a mile from my house. I couldn't pick it up either. All in all, it still came within a reasonable amount of time. Too bad the seller switched to another carrier for shipping. However, the item arrived and works great. The grips are a bit tight at first, but in the long run they ensure a significantly longer service life. Using a gear system results in a much more precise adjustment rather than…

BIG SMALL MICROSCOPE

Being a thrifty person, this summer I decided to grow my own for the first time. With a bounty harvest imminent, I spent far too much time lounging around the garden with a magnifying glass in hand, closely observing the development of the flower buds. However, when I couldn't identify any of the trichomes, I realized that a slightly larger magnification would be needed. Found this tiny plastic microscope on Revain (where else?) pictures, I've lost nothing but eleven bucks while I could…

Pros
  • So light you can take it anywhere
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

For the price it's a great toy and a novelty

I got this about a year ago got it and I find that the price has come down a few bucks since then, making it a better deal. Calling it a pocket microscope is a stretch. This is a cheap plastic magnifier with a built-in LED. However, for basic entertainment and educational purposes, it works quite well. I took one for myself and one for my 9 year old. Put it on a piece of paper, zoom in up to 100x and focus on individual fibers and dots of ink! Put a sheet underneath and examine the cell…
