The quality of these devices is terrible. I tried both and they made an annoying noise that I could hear across the room as the dial turned. Some of the items you press to set the time did not move even when you pressed very hard. The switch on the side is very fiddly. The devices became warm after a few minutes of use with a low-power LED connected. Most of the good reviews on this must be fake. This is one of the cheapest feeling products I've ever had.

Broke after 2 weeks of use. After disassembling we found that a tiny plastic pin had broken off (see pictures). This pin is responsible for holding the node that pushes the switch to activate the power plug when the dial is moved to the correct time/position. This is a simple mechanical timer where you flip the pins up or down to program it. The pins do not move easily and must be gently pressed with a screwdriver. The first timer worked for 3 weeks, then blocked without turning off the light. The second timer did the same two weeks later. To set the time, you have to turn the wheel manually.
