Don't worry

These pliers are terrible. Received a defective pair and threw the package away, can't tell until you take them out of the box that they are defective. The notches for the first crimping step do not line up, preventing you from crimping properly. I tried anyway and it just created this crumpled mess. Not worth the $8 I paid and I'm frustrated I even wasted a crimp tube.

Pros
  • Crafts and Sewing
Cons
  • Not as thick as others

Does NOT compress! (but seller will refund willingly)

UPDATED April 2018 - Seller refunds $ plus postage. They were polite and friendly throughout the process. MARCH 2018 - Don't waste your money! I ordered 5 of these for a jewelry class I was teaching. When the first one didn't crimp I figured it was just an accident but NONE of the pliers crimped. All of the pliers did NOT hold, even after trying different wires and crimps. I have a similar pair (different brand) that I have used for years and have never had a problem.

Pros
  • Jewelry Making Tools & Supplies
Cons
  • Great Price

I consider this a quality fake - the low price is not worth it.

I bought this over a year ago and have used it about 20 times. It never worked well but now it doesn't work at all so I spent the extra money to buy an expensive brand name tool. When I got the new crimp I compared the teeth on both and the cousin crimp looked like scratched metal and was almost flat. I think it's from the soft metal of the pot. My new pair is steel, with crisp definition at the business end and great crimps. They all wear out over time, but buy the best you can afford.

Pros
  • Bead and Jewelry Making
Cons
  • Not sure
