Cricut 2002675 Portable Trimmer Cutting Review

I really like the trimmer because it's sturdy. I don't like that you only get blades from Cricut when you start getting fuzzy edges on paper to have a new blade as it will rip the best of cardboard and DSP. They're a little expensive.

I thought it was a good deal but I was wrong. After using the same blade every day for several months, my old one was finally starting to dull. I replaced it with one of these and on the third cut the new one cut just as badly as my old one. Replaced again with the second blade and while the second holds. Pretty disappointing as I only get 1 benefit when I paid for 2.

I'm grateful I was able to get these Revain blades so quickly. I've been looking all over town and couldn't get a blade for my paper cutter and I was in the middle of a project that needed getting done. The only thing that let me down is the cutter itself, unrelated to this deal, the replacement blades are great. I just think the original blade that came with the cutter didn't last very long. So far the replacement blade works much better.

This blade works great with my Cricut Trimmer. I use mine mostly for vinyl, sometimes for thick card stock when making postcards for my business. My original blade lasted 3 years on me. I feel like the more you use it and the thicker the material, the less time it takes to dull the blade. These blades are still less expensive than buying a new trimmer. I have 3 paper cutters and my favorite is the Cricut trimmer. I also have a small Fiskars trimmer and a powerful Fiskars spinning blade trimmer. Maybe it's just part of the V-blade design, but they dull very quickly. (I've seen Youtuber say otherwise.) I basically cut 65 pounds of paper and keep the old chipboard blade. They dull quickly, and I don't usually notice a problem until I suddenly end up wasting a piece of paper and getting feathered edges. . I vary the use of the blade and rotate it.
