Do not use with Behr Alkyd Satin Enamel and many other colors

Fluid nozzle has a larger diameter than recommended for Behr Alkyd Satin Enamel. This color is one of the most recommended cabinet colors. Using the critter will give you a bad orange peel look. According to a discussion with a Behr consultant who used a critter sprayer: You can't dilute this type of paint to make it work. Even thinning (which is not recommended) will not fix the orange peel look you get. You need a smaller hole for the liquid nozzle that isn't on the creature. No fluid nozzle…

Great little beast!

I am truly amazed (no pun intended) by this little creature. We have several painting machines and continue to look for attachments/equipment that we can use to achieve a nice finish. This little creature is straight from heaven. Creates a flawless finish. It is very easy to clean and load for the next paint job. I'm amazed at how great it works. My only complaint would be that it just doesn't cover a large area at once. HOWEVER - that's exactly why he's so good at laying such a beautiful…

game changer! suitable for painting, wall treatment and consumables

Bought this sprayer with the intention of painting kitchen cabinets because I wanted a smooth finish which I knew I could never get with a brush; The results were so good I ended up painting two vanity tops, 19 doors and a variety of trim materials with it, and with proper care I've never had to purchase a maintenance kit. My friend's mom paid a professional to paint her closets (with a brush) at the same time, and mine easily looks 5x better and is about $2,000 less. I can paint 15 full size…

Absolutely the best new tool in my arsenal

This product is amazing. A few things are necessary for a good result. I have read all the questions and answers and most of the reviews. Below is a summary of what has proven to be the most important. I used latex semi-gloss paint. It is extremely important that the paint is diluted. I used 60% paint, 20% paint and 20% water. The finished liquid should have the consistency of maple syrup. The next important point is filtering the color, even if it's brand new. Also, have a small wire or…

GIRLS, MUST READ AND GET IT YOURSELF! :)

I like this sprayer very much There is another review from me, but I wanted to write it again because nobody should miss this one. It is by far the easiest to use, the easiest to maintain and the easiest to store. I paint cabinets on the side and it gives me a nice professional finish, similar to my clunky, heavy, expensive Graco. It's lightweight and easy to move. In addition to adjusting the template, simply turn down the Apple Compressor to make the frame heavier or lighter. I would also…

Good quality and ease of use. No variable spray pattern.

I bought this spray gun after seeing some videos of people spraying polyurethane with it. I absolutely hate cleaning it so I've been looking for better ways to apply it. This spray gun is a simple and easy to use product that can spray pretty much anything I've diluted enough. I ended up sending my spray gun back upon receipt because a broken rod pulled the paint up to spray. It was a warehouse deal so I got it at a reduced price which was nice. While preparing it for shipping, I came across…

Surprisingly top notch spray gun

I bought this little gun to paint my kitchen cabinets with oil paint and now I'm a real fan of this little green critter. The finish was excellent, no drips, no streaks and no orange peel. The quality of the finish corresponds to professional results. I wasn't shocked, I was amazed, and most importantly, cleaning is a breeze. I now prefer this little gun to my other HVLP sprayers for most small jobs. To spray oil based paint I used the following method: - Adjust the spray tip according to the…

Do not wait! for paint sprayers

Best spray painting tool for a beginner like me. I bought a 6 gallon air pressure tank for it for $99. It just takes a little practice and boom. I keep the nozzle half way or a little lower. The thicker the paint, the higher the pressure. For example, something as thin as a stain would need 30psi, but for something as thick as a latex oil primer I increased the pressure to 90psi even after adding Penetrol. I have used Floetrol for my water based latex satin gloss with great success - I used 2-4

Makes spraying a lot more enjoyable

This spray gun from Critter was a surprise. It's a fun tool that speaks volumes. I'm more afraid of spray projects so having a tool that makes them less stressful is very important to me. In this review I'm comparing the Critter to the HomeRight C800766 Finish Max Fine Finish Sprayer. I wasn't impressed with Home Right's product, but the Critter Gun exceeded my expectations. I realized that spray painting is really an art and also that it requires patience. The quality of my drawn projects with
