Good POE switch, Cudy FS1010P 8+2 port 100Mbps Ethernet PoE

The POE switch has been working for several weeks, it doesn't feel any heat, which is good. Like the other comment mentioned here, the included power cord was neutral and reverse connected, and the power cord was also a bit short. Not sure if there is a difference when the power cord is connected this way. It uses a standard computer power cord that I had on hand, so I threw away the one that came with it and used a longer cord that connected the normal way. The POE cameras work well with this…

Pros
  • Not just useful for its intended purpose
Cons
  • For pensioners

Great low cost POE switch for CCTV cameras.

Seems to work just as well as anything else. Not gigabit, but for security cameras, who cares, right? Dedicated uplink port and NVR port means you have 8 free POE ports for cameras and don't need to bind extra port to your router. So far there have been no complaints in this price range. Time will tell how reliable it is.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • No instructions

Works and works well

When my qsee nvr broke I needed a way to keep using all my IP cameras. I already had a NAS but I need a way to connect the cameras to the network. Enter cudy 8 port poe. Easy setup, easy management of PoE and non-PoE devices.

  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Not as good as it says

Works well with 8 PoE cameras

I installed this in our chicken coop with 8 PoE cameras. It's technically "outside" under the roof of the chicken coop, so it's not exposed to direct rain or anything, but it's exposed to temperatures of 20F and lots of dirt and chicken dander. So far it's been reliable, no camera power issues, and while I haven't tested the switch's maximum bandwidth, it handles camera streams just fine.

Great CCTV switch (not gigabit)!

Update: I've racked my brains trying to figure out why my blue iris computer isn't getting gigabit speeds. Now I'm not 100% sure that Blue Iris really needs 1000Mbps internet, but when I realized it wasn't getting full speed I had to start researching. I could have sworn this switch supports gigabit speeds, but in the end I found out that this switch isn't gigabit. I might turn it off in the future, but at least I can sleep at night now and know what caused it. this switch is great. I needed a…
