Happy with my purchase

I bought this switch to power five POE security cameras. Has been working as advertised for about 2 months. I was pleased with the number of POE ports available and the price of the device.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • I have doubts

Processing 5 1040 CCTV cameras without problems.

I used this to replace the power cord of 5 rooftop security cameras. The POE worked great and all cameras are now working at 1040 resolution. We hope it will cope outdoors (under a canopy) and in the hot AZ summer sun even after shade. This opened up all of my skylights for Christmas lights.

Pros
  • Excellent Overall Performance
Cons
  • Update Availability

Great replacement for my camera system

I have long used a system that required Internet Explorer and Active X to view the camera. This little switch could replace that system along with ZoneMinder. This switch perfectly powers 8 IP cameras. I used one upstream port on my main switch and not 2 upstream ports as shown in the guide.

Pros
  • Looking forward to

Fully functional and easy to set up.

I used a standard Netgear switch for 3 of my cameras and each had a POE injector attached. I've wanted to get a dedicated POE switch for this for a long time. When offered this switch, I decided to replace Netgear with this one from Cudy. I also have 2 other devices on this switch that do not support POE. Why does this matter because I didn't set it up at all? Installation was easy. Connect the Ethernet cables and the power supply. A few seconds passed and everyone was recognized. We'll have to

High quality 8-port Gigabit POE switch.

GOOD: ---------------* Gigabit POE switch* Good quality at 27 ounces without power cord* 120W total, 15W each . However, the maximum for a single port is 30W. BAD: -----------* Nothing. but just for your information if you risk diving into the world of POE cameras and NVRs. getting a poe switch is only a third of the story. Your NVR must be a POE-enabled NVR. The Poe Switch or PoE Camera will not turn your non-POE NVR into a POE NVR. Finally, your cameras must be POE cameras. The Poe Switch…

  • Not the best
