Did the job! - Fairing

I used this to insulate the copper fuel line in a lawn mower engine configuration to prevent vapor lock. This has worked flawlessly so far! Easy to put on, although for extra stability I've used stainless steel straps to ensure they stay in place over time.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • So far so good

Cannot be cut to length

The way they are sewn on the velcro will come undone if you cut the length of the jacket. I've used DEI material in the past and the heat protection has been great so I just added a couple of zip ties to compensate for the lack of velcro. Hopefully this will keep my newly reconditioned gearbox mount from melting.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other options

Perfect for securing the shift cable

Stuck in a gas station van in an alleyway for gas. The shifter cable melted from the exhaust fumes. Panic trying to move the vehicle to complete our trip. When we found the drive mechanism underneath, we were on our way. As I parked, I noticed the cord had melted, so I zipped it up and down. I taped a heat shield over the cable and zip ties. Everything is fine until I change the shift cable. Lightweight velcro and tailored to size. Highly recommended and always handy in your RV or garage.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Alright

When cut to length.

The product serves its intended purpose well. While the instructions say it can be cut to length, note that the Velcro strips are attached with stickers that remind me of old charcoal briquette bags; Once it starts to unravel, it won't stop. I need to attach both "now" and "later" lengths so both can be used. However, when a special length and wrap is required for a part that is part of an assembly that cannot be disassembled. it will do it for you.

Pros
  • Practical item
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

On my LS3, replace the long .

When I replace my LS3 with my Genesis, the long pipe heads are near the fuel lines. I used it to wrap around the lines closest to the headers, as well as the large and small starter cables, alternator cable, and fuel return line (near the tank, part of the return line next to the exhaust). The only thing that bothers me is the Velcro. cheap so don't try to solve more than once! If you're not careful, the Velcro will simply come loose. I will update my review after a few hundred kilometers.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Prevents extra lightning rods from burning out/melting

I've had trouble melting the standard wiring harness due to turbo overheating and exhaust heat from the passenger side of the engine. For some reason it never occurred to me that I needed to put some kind of thermal protection on it. After replacing the stock wiring harness several times, I decided to order this coupler as I didn't want to cut the wires to complete the installation. The velcro made it easy to "install" and it holds up very well. It's installed on an 18 year old emissions…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Interval

At first I thought I was going to cry too much, but .

At first I thought I was paying too much but after 6 months of use and melting down all types of cables/wires that weren't wrapped they became priceless. I have a modified Jeep Wrangler and the new engine/transmission combination generates some heat. Combine that with raising everything in the back as much as possible to get ground clearance and you have a 600 degree oven. I wrapped the airbox wire, fuel line, emissions lines and clutch accessory wire all in a 1" grommet. My transfer case shift

  • GOLS certified
