Great Starter: my feedback

The duo was great for clinical it is useful at home too. Just to check on the kids for ear infections.etc. It is just hard to find the ear cover probes and they can be expensive.

Pros
  • Compact and convenient size for easy portability
Cons
  • The set may be too complicated for non-medical professionals or those with limited training

company without integrity

I ordered the opthalmascope and otoscope set for my sister for Christmas. The package arrived in a timely manner with the cover of the box showing exactly what I ordered. Also the invoice stated that that was what I had received. I set it aside and wrapped it for Christmas. When my sister opened it there was only the otoscope. The company refused to take care of sending me the correct item stating that they didn't package the orders. They also wouldn't reimburse me the difference. Because I…

Pros
  • My son is in medical school and is pleased with this set?
Cons
  • The set is not user-friendly, especially for beginners in medical practice

Very good! for my opinion

It's very good, great quality material, comes with AA battery, a fancy case. Great value and a cheaper option to have a complete set. i bought from RYMATT WELLNESS LLC and it came in perfect condition.

Pros
  • The set has received many positive reviews from customers
Cons
  • The hard case is black, making it difficult to spot in a crowded or cluttered clinical setting

Too bright, not focused

I'm an M3 likely going in to EM. I volunteer at a clinic that does not have otoscopes or ophthalmoscopes and thought that these might be an ok choice for use there; however, the ophthalmoscope is too bright to use on anyones eyes and very difficult to focus compared to others I've used. The otoscope only focuses at the tip of the covering that you put on, meaning that you'd have to hit the tympanic membrane before seeing it. This is painful and dangerous for the patient.Get a real one.

Pros
  • This product is intended for sale to and for use by Medical Professionals/Educators and students who are under the training or supervision of Medical Professional/Educators.
Cons
  • The set is not waterproof and cannot be sterilized using automatic equipment

Ophthalmoscope is not good

The ophthalmoscope is almost like a joke. It’s only a prop. Kind of disappointing because ADC is a good brand. Otoscope does the job.

Pros
  • Multi-functional design allows for diagnostic flexibility
Cons
  • The hard case is not padded and may fail to protect the delicate equipment within from damage

Cheap and very good!

This is a cheap box set with an ophthalmoscope and also one otoscope. Very good. The quality is veru similar to those of Heine or Welch Alleyin

Pros
  • Reliable and durable construction for long-term use
Cons
  • The size of the otoscope may be too small for some patients, requiring an extension piece to be purchased separately

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good value in my review

It is sufficient for what I need. The ophthalmoscope isn't the greatest but it will be good enough for simple exams That's my review.

Pros
  • Both otoscope and ophthalmoscope have adjustable focus
Cons
  • The hard case may not fit into standard medical bags or cabinets, requiring additional storage space

Pocket otoscope ophthalmoscope

It was affordable and is small enough to be carried around. I am a first year medical student and I learned of this product through another student. Since then several more people in my class have bought it and love it.

Pros
  • great for clinicals
Cons
  • The design is outdated and not visually appealing

Great product good for me

The ADC pocket combo is a great set for a student not looking to break the bank. I've been able to do everything a person with a $700 Welch-Allyn can do. Now of course there are going to be slight differences between this and a way more expensive product, but if you can get past the petty details this will serve you great for school and examining your family at home when they're sick. As for any other settings you're always going to have a wall mounted Welch set ready to be used.

Pros
  • Ideal for diagnosis and treatment of various ear and eye conditions
Cons
  • The handle of the ophthalmoscope may be too short for some users, causing discomfort during examinations

Nice Compact kit for medical school

I've only used it once or twice.so time will tell.Pro: Compact, nice case, extra disposable specula, affordable, It appears to be well-made (this must be tested with more use). It doesn't look cheap like some of the others in the price range. It's easy to use (switch, etc) and it does not have a funky smell (like some of the Welch Allyn kits my classmates have)Cons: The handle gets hot after a couple minutes of use, but not really an issue. Until I get better at using diagnostic kit.it's hard…

Pros
  • Low-maintenance design requires minimal upkeep
Cons
  • The set may be too heavy for elderly or disabled medical professionals to use comfortably

great for a cheap set

obviously, if you pay 1/4- 1/5 of the price of a high dollar set, you can't expect the utmost in quality. it's just a trade off. i ordered this set as a first year med student and havent regretted it at all. it serves great for OSCE and phys exam learning.my thinking was that i'll buy this cheap set, since i have zero money, and it will be a great set to have for med mission trips (AA batteries are great when you are in a village w/ no electricity and if it gets snatched- you lost $100 as…

Pros
  • A trusted brand in the medical industry
Cons
  • The set may be too expensive for medical students or those starting out in their careers, leading to financial strain

A total waste of my money

Pocket ophthalmoscope! Fits in your white coat! Great price! Right? Nope. This thing doesn't do it's sole function: help you look at the optic disk. I tried for a while, and eventually gave up because it's not worth wasting my time trying to get it while in a patient room. If you want one, unfortunately get a larger one.

Pros
  • Diagnostics & Screening
Cons
  • The handle of the otoscope is uncomfortable to grip for long periods

not for serious clinicians

I am a third year medical student and have this product. The otoscope is okay, the ophthalmoscope is really bad. I have been able to visualize the fundus but it is very difficult since you cannot dim the light or change the size of the beam of light. Luckily, I am applying for orthopaedic surgery residency anyway so this doesn't bother me. I usually borrow a good one if I have concern about papilledema in a patient. If you plan on being a pediatrician, family medicine or any of the internal…

Pros
  • Professional Medical Supplies
Cons
  • The lenses on the ophthalmoscope are difficult to adjust and may cause frustration for users

Very Poor Service for my opinion

I've been in Family Medicine for 17 years. I purchased this kit from All Hearts and the otoscope bulb went out. I ordered a replacement and was charged for a bulb that was smashed, as if someone stepped on it an crushed it before packing it in the box that 8' x 10' for a 1/2" bulb. Why the packing materials for a smashed bulb? Then, they informed me that this is out of stock and I can no longer purchase the bulb. So, be very cautious before purchasing ANYTHING from All Hearts. They don't tell…

Pros
  • Compatible with a variety of ear and eye specula
Cons
  • The set may not be suitable for use in pediatric medicine, as the size and weight may be intimidating for children

Reasonable alternative to the expensive brands

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve dropped and banged these and they still work great! I’ve owned several of these same sets over the years and always pick ADC over the more expensive brands because this is all I need for rounding on patients or carrying in my lab coat for office visits. The price is great so if I lose one In the hospital I don’t get too upset over it. This is a great company and they have fixed my otoscope and ophthalmoscope for free more than once. These are lightweight and

Pros
  • Provides a clear view of both the inner ear and eye
Cons
  • The set may not be as durable as other similar products on the market, leading to more frequent replacements and repairs

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not for a specialist.primary care or travel

Otoscope not of the highest imaging quality, but it is what you expect from a "pocket sized" product. Visualizes well and does its job.

Pros
  • OTOSCOPE FEATURES: wide-angle swivel 2.5X viewing lens permits instrumentation; and insufflator port (fitting and insufflator sold separately) for pneumatic otoscopy.
Cons
  • The Xenon lamp is known for generating heat, which can make patients uncomfortable during examinations

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not meant for a beginner

Ophthalmoscope was not useful at all.Could n’t see anything ,may be due to the technique as the light was very bright and was very uncomfortable for the patient. Not meant for beginner learning to use the equipment.

Pros
  • High-quality xenon lamp provides bright and clear illumination
Cons
  • The set may require frequent calibration to ensure accurate results

For Clinical Skills

I use this for the clinical skills component of medical school. It works great, it compact, and is easy to carry in my white coat.

Pros
  • Hard case provides protection and organization for both tools
Cons
  • The materials used to make the set are not eco-friendly and may contribute to environmental damage

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Otoscope works well; Ophthalmoscope difficult to use

I have been using this set for the past two years in medical school. Found the otoscope to be very good - I thought the images on this model were comparable to the ones with the Welch-Allyns on hospital walls. The ophthalmoscope, however, has not been been useful. Like many reviewers have mentioned, the ophthalmoscope light cannot be dimmed, making it hard for fundoscopy amateurs like me to quickly and reliably perform exams. With effort, I am able to view the structures needed but only after…

Pros
  • Affordable price point for exceptional value
Cons
  • The set may require additional training or certifications to use, which can be time-consuming and expensive

Practical for medical rotations

Small, light, and provides for excellent visualization of the retina. A worthwhile purchase for medical students. Fits securely in the pocket of my white coat.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • This product does not come with a rechargeable battery, which can be inconvenient for medical professionals on-the-go
