I read many reviews and visited several stores when looking for a new bike for my son. He is 3 years old but he is very tall. Overall this bike was easy to assemble and very sturdy but there are a few issues we can't solve that made our 4.5 year old son not really like this bike can . First, the training wheels tend to loosen and shift after a short ride, causing the bike to tilt from side to side, making my son very unsteady. Second, the pedals feel too high off the ground. I asked a lot of people about boys bikes before deciding on this one. My boys (ages 4 and 5) rode 12" Huffy and Kawasaki bikes. Both had issues, most notably the lack of torque on the pedals.
