Quickly made priceless

Convenient. I got it for intricate sewing with small seam allowances and now I use it to hold the edges of the fabric so my overly greedy iron doesn't burn my fingers.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons

I like the rubber grip

Works well for my purpose. Bought to crochet the edges of the blankets I knit when our friends have babies. I like the rubberized grip. It makes me feel in control of the situation. Would I buy again if I lost it.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Difficult to say

Great for arthritic hands

Purchased to feed seams into a sewing machine. The tip is larger than scissors but ideal for hands with arthritis. Comfortable to hold. Rubber so it doesn't slip around the entire perimeter. Also sticks to the magnetic pen holder.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • The list will go on.

This is the best of sewing tools and supplies

It was a great price and the grip really makes a difference. I had no idea how easily this thing can penetrate fabric and is so handy for sewing. Especially something with rivets and spikes. It also doesn't cause pain or calluses when working with heavy material, which I love.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Easy to use, but the protective cover is useless.

The handle is comfortable, but the plastic lid does not hold. The plastic lid is to prevent it from puncture during storage or even in your travel tool kit. It does not work well. It really needs a handpiece case or cap that has the best design.

Pros
  • Closed tool lies on the work surface or in the sewing basket
Cons
  • Doubt

The perfect awl (for me)

I bought this awl to punch holes in homemade magazine signatures and it was the perfect choice. It's a good size - not too big, not too small. And the cap attaches to the handle when in use, creating a nice rounded end so no sharp edges hurt my hand when I push the tip through multiple sheets of paper at once. When not in use, the cap protects the tip so there's no risk of accidentally being punctured by the tip, and flattens the bottom so it sits comfortably on a shelf without rolling when not

Pros
  • Relieves stress and protects palm
Cons
  • Not sure

Easily found in sewing tools

Good news first. It does what it's supposed to and the thick handle makes it easy to handle, even for older hands. The odd pink color makes it easy to spot in a sewing tool box, which is a big deal when the piece is so pointy! Now for the less good news. We bought 6 of these for our doll making classes and you should be aware that the clear protective cap is easy to lose every time, so have wine corks handy to protect yourself! Not only is it transparent and easily lost, but it also falls off…

Pros
  • The end of the handle can be removed and converted into a protective cap
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide
