Good, but. for quilting

i got my version of the clamped helix rods today and finished the project only to find that the screws on the end of the rods are thicker than the old EZ Stitch on that the strap was attached. Sunday night and I won't be able to sew until I get to the hardware store to buy wing nuts that will fit and allow me to tighten up my project. It would be nice if Edmunds explained this change to buyers.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • i don't remember but there was something

False advertising

Product says it measures 28" long and as the name suggests it can be used on 24" wide fabric. Oh my God no. The overall size of the bar is less than 24 inches and only holds fabrics less than 20.5 inches thick. Either Revain doesn't know enough to verify his information, or Edmunds is taking the bait and changing, packaging and labeling a product as something very wrong.

Pros
  • Pack contains a set of spiral rods
Cons
  • High price

Difficult to start but works

The clips hold the fabric much tighter than I thought it would so I was pleasantly surprised. It is difficult to direct the tissue directly onto the shaft and under the clamp at the same time. Four hands can help. I think it would be better if I had such a stick with a strap strip that you attach your piece to, but I couldn't find one. Once the fabric is put on it works well and will not come loose until the project is complete.

Pros
  • Made in the USA
Cons
  • No instructions

Good but requires quality control in production

Haven't used them yet but the size seems accurate compared to my 24" split rails. My only concern is that the plastic parts of the lid were poorly made with lots of jagged bits along the inside of the ends, big enough to easily catch and tear any fabric. I have everything I need at home to fix it and fit but what a waste of time fixing something that should have been spotted and fixed by quality control.

Pros
  • All hardwood parts ensure durability
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Other
