I use these on a standard style retainer (lower teeth) and an Invisalign retainer (upper teeth). I find that half a tablet is enough to eliminate both. Admittedly, I'm not old and don't have dentures. I actually use this product to remove odors from my KSO - Vibram men's shoes and Vibram Fivefingers Komodosport LS men's running shoes black/blue.
