📺 Ematic EPD116bu 10-Inch Portable DVD Player with Headphones and Car-Headrest Mount Review

I brought this for my grandson so he wouldn't bother me while driving. It still bothers me to this day because this DVD player keeps throwing an error "device cannot be read" or something like that and you had to turn it off to turn it back on. The picture wasn't sharp. It was dark and I had no intention of correcting it. All DVDs were played this way. It was like watching a low budget movie.

I really like the size of the DVD player because it fits between the car seats which means she can't see it from eye distance because her car seat is in the middle near the door. I've had it for a few months now but the play button started clicking and getting stuck and now it's completely stuck so all I can do now is press the play button with the remote. Using the remote isn't an option when I'm driving, so I need to set everything up before we begin.

I bought this player for my daughter to use on long trips. It worked great when we used it on the first two trips. However, after a month it stopped working completely. Although the charger is connected and the charging indicator is lit, this indicates that the battery is low. I tried another charger I had but still the same problem. Any DVD that was inserted wouldn't play, it just kept spinning, then the screen went black, but it stayed on. The remote control didn't work either. I tried 3 sets

I've read good and bad reviews but (as usual) let the price dictate which DVD player I buy (vs my wife's recommendation). I really wanted this product to work well but it just doesn't work.
