Best Turtle Food - Food

My turtle loves this food! It's also the best food out there if you ask me. The best ingredients. Large pellet size for my turtle. I will continue to buy this brand!

Pros
  • Great Product
Cons
  • Some Cons

Changed color in water tank

Too much food coloring in this product. It instantly turned the fresh, clean water in my turtle tank green. Also, the food pods are too small and it was hard for my sea turtle to find them.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Difficult to maintain

Good product suitable for food

Personally, I can't judge anything about the taste. but my turtles will eat it. I've been using it exclusively since my first purchase and the price has even gone down - a very common occurrence. I love it and I think my three big red ears do too.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Upgradable

Ideal for keeping your aquarium clean!

I picked up this version of the turtle chow because I didn't have what I needed in stock. I may never return. Small granules will not make a mess in a turtle tank. Water stays clear longer. That's great!

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Bad instructions

Good deal, thanks for the food

My turtle eats when it wants. And it makes the area a little messy after feeding. My guppies ate it too. They were meant to be forage fish, but the food made them too big to eat. I've never seen guppies that big lol. Anyway, according to my slider, they're pretty good, so thanks!

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Frequency

Maybe too small for a full grown turtle.

My 6-year-old red-eared toddler didn't want to/couldn't eat it. She is a large turtle so I think the size of the pellets might be an issue for her. The balls are very small, she tried to catch them but to no avail. I ended up gifting them to a friend and his little turtle loved them.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • So so

2 happy yellow-bellied sliders!

My 2 yellow-bellied sliders love these pellets! They subsisted on Reptomine pellets with freeze-dried shrimp and fresh herbs. They've always been food enthusiasts, but lately they don't seem that enthusiastic about food. These granules have brought back the joy of dinner and their stools are firmer with this product than with the Reptomin brand, making cleanup very easy and who doesn't love that? Happy 6" onesie and a happy turtle mom.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Very expensive

This was my first time using Aquatic Turtle Pellets bought. Initially I was skeptical about using granules as they are not really granules but small circles. This was confusing because I have always used pellets and can judge how much to feed a turtle. I think he noticed something else right away and I was afraid he wouldn't like it, but I think it evolved into him. I've also noticed that he eats less pellets so it should be more filling than other pellets I've used. I'll see how long thisโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Balanced diet for your turtle's long-term health
Cons
  • Doubtful

My RES didn't like it

I find it a little unfair to review this product as my turtle doesn't speak but I can say my slider refused to eat it. He loves a lot of different pellets and floating stick feeds but not this one. He tried it carefully, but then spat it out. I was shocked. I let the rest levitate for several hours. I thought he would eventually give up and eat it, but no, he just didn't eat, even though I didn't offer him any other food. My Ozzy is your typical voracious eater and will beg for food like a dog.

Pros
  • Reptile food with added vitamins and minerals
Cons
  • Concise instructions

Just right for my RES when trying to include veggies

Best food I've found! My rescued adult female RES ran into trouble when I first got her. Previously she had not been fed properly and had never been put on an omnivorous diet. She has pyramids from too much protein and she only ate shrimp. Eventually, as she adjusted to her new home, she started eating more. She still refuses vegetables, but I will not refuse. Until then, I needed a good, fortified meal daily, not too high in protein. That's great. She even loves it, I think she would eatโ€ฆ

Pros
  • 8.8 ounce buoyant pellets for adult turtles
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
