Easy to use door evenly spaced for a proper seal

My exterior door had no gap on the bottom left (hinge side) and more gap on the bottom right. I unclipped the hinges and added two spacers to the bottom hinge and one to the middle hinge. When tightened, they are screwed on and the door sits straight and closes tightly. Made super easy and quick

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Keep Calm

They have worked great for me.

My front door has never closed easily and tightly or well. Someone had the same issues, but their attempts to fix them were unsuccessful. These EZ standoffs will stay in place while you struggle with the door as long as the screws are loose. If the pads slip a little, it's easy enough to reach and reattach them. I can't do these spacers justice, but they made the job easier.

Pros
  • The best
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Not a solution for every repair but a perfect solution for some

My door was misaligned which resulted in the latch not going into the hole unless we lifted the doorknob by pushing the latch turned. I tried flashing the bottom loop but it didn't solve the problem. Capping and re-drilling the hinge plate screw holes and using 3" screws, particularly when attaching the top hinge to the frame, finally did the trick. However, if you have a gap between the door and frame on the handle side, these spacers are the perfect solution.

  • Few competitors

The door works now, after being installed by professionals it didn't work

I bought a new house and very soon the front door started to stick and wouldn't close until it was locked. It was installed by so-called professionals. I placed two spacers behind the bottom loop, one behind the next loop at the top, and none behind the top two loops. The door now opens and closes easily. It's a shame the 'pros' don't know how to hang doors, but luckily homeowners have gaskets so we can fix a bad job.

Pros
  • handy thing

  • a bit torn

The best hinge seal available.

Double doors have just been installed in our house, completely renewed, including the frame. When the assembly team left, we found that the new doors didn't close well. So, a little research led us to the need to use hinge seals. The EZ Pads were the perfect solution for the minor fixes needed. With a thickness of 1/16 inch, they can be combined as needed. Very easy to install and worth the money. Couldn't find this product locally but Revain had them. Fast delivery. material, but should last a

It is great! fits devices

I have been using cardboard for pads for many years but over time the results have been mixed (cardboard shrinks over time). I bought these pads when my front door wouldn't close again. The crossbar crashed under the hole in the door frame. I removed the board standoffs and replaced them with two EZ-SHIMS standoffs. The door closes normally again. I don't see EZ shims shrinking like cardboard. The only small issue (not really a problem for me) is that you'll probably have to trim them off as…

Not suitable for my purpose because of the gap

The front door was opaque and had a gap of about 3/8 inch at the bottom. Three problems: 1) the existing screws are not long enough to secure the door in the jamb, 2) the washers are not the same width as the hinge, so there is a rocking effect when the door opens and closes. 3) A 3/8" washer with the side of the hinge would be pretty ugly. So I'll probably cut out a tapered piece of wood to attach the post on the opposite side. Note that they're probably good for a smaller gap will work, but…

  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Nothing here

Save yourself a lot of time and money. Very easy to install.

I had a bolt that didn't line up perfectly with the 'hole' of the doorknob was and it worked! To install : Remove the top and bottom screws from the door opening side of the hinge and LOOSEN the center screws (this is for a 4" hinge). Insert the spacer (use a screwdriver gently if necessary to insert it into the holes for the screws).Replace the screws, tighten the rest and see if that helps. In my own situation I only needed one, but you may need more as one.Install them one at a time, try…

The PERFECT solution to the gap in my door and it's so easy to fit!

Mottled I could see light coming through the lower left side of the front door. It was VERY cold and I wondered why my electric fireplace wasn't heating. Went to the door and put his hand down and you could feel the icy air rushing right in! Googled how to fix this, found it on Revain and got it in just a few days. It was so easy to fix the door. ! I simply opened the door wide, sat on the porch, and removed the screws on the side of the hinge that attaches to the door. I put in one of the…

Great seals, easy install

I replaced the hinges on one of our doors (my wife wanted bronze hardware instead of brushed nickel hardware) but found that the door was about 1 4 inches tall after replacing the old hinges was. Gap on latch side and no gap on hinge side. This left a small air gap and also caused the door to close poorly. These spacers were a great solution as they are 1/16 inch thick. installed two of these under each hinge attached to the frame to move the door 1/8 inch towards the deadbolt. There is now an…
