Problem fixed.: Engines

Honda Odyssey 2006 with dual zone automatic temperature control. My fan wouldn't turn on at any stage. This component has been replaced and it works as usual. Very easy repair. Any person with basic skills in the field of needlework will cope with the repair. As long as it is running, the rating remains valid.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • old

Easy to install but only took two hours.

My air conditioning in my 2003 CRV was not working so I diagnosed the fan motor and resistor as the problem. I installed a new motor and resistor. After two hours the resistor stopped working! I click the warranty link on the product description page and get a Revain error page 🙄 Waste of money.

Pros
  • Beautifully packaged
Cons
  • Very expensive

Not like the photo. The illustration shows the sealing material around the radiator. The one that came had no cushioning material, just plastic on plastic. I feel the gasket provides a better seal of the HVAC system. I put it in anyway because it's winter and I need warmth. Problem solved. It works. Just not as pictured and looks cheap.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design

Perfect fit for my special edition Honda Civic LX 05

Went to my local AutoZone and the same part was $59. I've read reviews here mentioning that they are made in China and that there is no foam padding. The one on AutoZone was also made in China and didn't have a foam pad either. I bought this for a 2005 Honda Civic LX and when I removed the original resistor (from the Honda factory) it didn't have foam padding either so I'm not sure what people were complaining about. This part was identical to the original and installation was a breeze.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Hard to tell

2010 Honda Odyssey in Blower

Update: I just changed the cabin filter. It was very bad. I think the motor was running too hard and that's why the resistor exploded. I highly recommend ordering and replacing a cabin filter with this resistance. I see it explode again if not changed. My center console isn't blowing air, but all other vents work fine. Thank goodness you have a tube, I thought I'd try that route first and bam, the problem was fixed. Aside from being a headache to install, I'm glad it was a cheap fix.

Pros
  • Handsfree

Fits Honda Civic Ex 2001

Honda Civic Ex 2001 Problem: No air coming out of vents Solution: Cheapest way Replace the fan motor resistor/transistor. Original Honda part did not have foam padding. (Original photo left). The Revain part also didn't have a foam pad, despite the photos on the website having it. The Amzn part was taller than the original and had 8 heat fins compared to the original 9. Visually it looks otherwise the same. Even though Amzn is bigger, it still fits inside. And it works! The only problem was…
