I was careful with this set. I saw rubbish and was concerned about the quality. I'm glad I took the risk. Nice set, nice and sharp and well made. It's good to know that there are quality tools at a reasonable price. Go ahead and try them. You will not be disappointed.

I received my order quickly. Carving tools are ready to use and do not need to be sharpened. I have been happy with all of the Flexcut threading tools that I have purchased from amazon.com. I carved a spoon bowl out of one of the notches and it worked great.

I use these to carve alcohol out of poplar bark. They are a great tool for that. They're sharp and ready to use, and even when they're broken, they stay sharp. Their size makes them ideal for larger carvings from wood removal to detail. Complemented with finer tools I am very happy with this product for the carving I want to do. It should be noted that they are somewhat flexible (I say pliable) when pressing onto harder wood. They are not suitable for carving, which requires hammers.
