Folkmanis Honey Bee Hand Puppet Review

BAD DESIGN - Bad design, worst Volkmanis doll, they don't read reviews to improve and discomfort when using. As a doll, this is very frustrating because I can't use it to teach. I have to completely replace and repair the glove to be able to use it - I have many Volkmanis dolls and this is the only wrong one, it is absolutely not worth the price.

The most disliked doll from Folkmanis. The glove has six finger holes, which takes too long for the students in the class to put it on their hand because they are confused. The wings fit his body snugly, which doesn't make him cute or quirky. And its coloring is more like a real color than a happy/beautiful color. The yellow is a very dirty yellow. I really don't like it but I bought it with my own money so I just use it as I please (I'm an elementary school teacher).

This is an adorable finger puppet. The eyes are big and cute. But why does it have six finger holes instead of five? My teenager and I played with this before giving it to the little ones and I laughed at her because she couldn't figure out how to put her fingers in the glove properly. Turns out he actually has six fingers once we stopped struggling and counted them. We laughed heartily about it. Anyway, other than that it's a fun doll and good quality.

Pretty disappointed with this purchase. I was so excited to get this doll for my class but when it arrived it was nowhere near as good as it looks in the picture. It arrived in a sealed plastic bag, but when I took it out, the wings were bent and wrinkled, the antennae were uneven, the glove was almost too small for my very small hand, and everything fell off. Poor workmanship is so uncharacteristic of Folkmanis dolls. I'm trying to decide whether to trade it in and maybe get another sad doll…

Got this as a surprise for my daughter after I bought The Life and Times of the Honey Bee. She loved it so much. To be honest I didn't think she would like this new doll so much but I was shocked that she ended up saying that it will now become one of her favorite toys. She also has a Dutch bunny doll and she loves that bunny too! I am grateful that I introduced Folkmanis dolls to my daughter and myself! Some negative reviews made me a little nervous, but this doll was too cute to resist and the price was reasonable. (And I've never had a problem with Revain returns.) I have no regrets with my purchase! The doll is not wrinkled or broken - she is so cute! Yes the glove is small but I don't think it will fit in a full adult hand.
