Terrible band! - Waterproof

Good product except tape! Tape is TERRIBLE! I have more windows but need to buy better tape! The video looks so easy! But that's not the case. saints! I made a window and had to take a break! I don't think I heard myself swearing that much! Laugh! My suggestion: buy good tape!

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Don't do it: Weather protection

I am completely dissatisfied with this product. I have an extra room in my house that doesn't have any air ducts or vents. Fireplace to keep cool air out of the room and they didn't do their job. The plastic is thin, the tape doesn't stick well. generally just a waste.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Minor imperfections

Fur. The tape is total crap.

Mounted on several windows in preparation for winter. With a thermometer, I could tell the difference when it came to keeping cold air outside the home. HOWEVER, the tape that comes with these kits is complete crap. Even after cleaning painted wooden surfaces and loosely applied shrink film, the adhesive tape can still come off very easily. I've only used clear tape on the outside of the packaging to solve this problem, but I'm not sure if these bags are really worth it when I buy tape and…

So not impressed for building materials

I bought these for the 3million I normally buy for this purpose as Frost King had better sized films for the windows I was covering so I wasted less film. Wow. It was a bad idea. When I moved out of my old apartment a few months ago, I didn't remove the 3M sheeting that I put on when I moved in 8 years ago. These Frost Kings began to fall apart after 3 weeks of residence. The film did not shrink very effectively and did not withstand the shrinkage - relaxed again within a week or two of the…

Frost King Freezes the Competition 100 Times

So I've been using Shrink Window Sets for over ten years. I've tried so many brands. I bought Duck last year and it was the worst investment of my life. I went back to the old trusty Frost King and will never use any other product again. Here's what I like about Frost King compared to other brands: 1. Thickness. The thicker film makes it easier to handle and less likely to tear during handling. It also facilitates heating during shrinkage.2. Adhesion. Most people don't think of adhesion, but…

Works very well. after installation

Say what you want, but know that we may not agree. If you don't like this product for any reason. I like it, so if not, we'll have disagreements. But what can I do? I stick to my principles and this window caulk is a great way to get rid of drafts and protect windows from winter. It's amazing how effective very thin, super thin, like a standard ruler, useless. We're talking thinner than paper. And despite the huge lack of energy with a small thickness, it still works great. The only downside is

Great product for HVAC

Works great with old single glazed timber windows. My house is 1930 or earlier and some of the windows are old. I've used this on 2 old single pane windows and it took about 30 minutes total (you'll have to wait 10 minutes after removing the tape for it to set) including wiping down the surfaces and trimming off the excess if you are done. I could have screwed it up in one of the following ways: 1 - the surface wasn't cleaned/degreased thoroughly enough 2 - the surface wasn't glued perfectly…

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Exchangeable

Not perfect but could be worse

I have used other brands of these products before and this one is similar to most. This is a cheap sheet of plastic that is taped to the window with double-sided tape. Make sure the area you plan to use it on is clean and dry. It still fell off for me, although the wind is strong here, so there is also a draft. Can I save on heating costs? This is mainly to mask a small draft if you can't replace the window. Can this product withstand strong drafts? No, in my experience it will slowly move away
