I love my Fujifilm FinePix S9250

I love this camera. It may not have the same big name as Canon or Nikon, but it takes great pictures. Its versatility and sharpness is more than enough for a beginner like me. Great macro shots and incredible colors. Lots of extras not found in many cameras.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Contemporary

good camera for nature photography

Used with this camera in Ecuador for (mainly) bird photography and typical travel. It shouldn't surprise anyone that camera shake increases at maximum zoom, but returning to mid-range gives you plenty of choices. Autofocus was a bit shaky and costly a few times when shooting shy birds, but it's difficult to get perfect autofocus in an image full of foliage and birds. The cell was subjected to moderate violence on several occasions. I'm happy.

Pros
  • Useful for more than intended purpose
Cons
  • not reliable

great price great photos

I have to say this is quite an amazing hybrid camera, small and light. In the end, I had something between my little point-and-shoot camera and my big gun. In addition, this camera is battery operated, 4 AA batteries. However, the best batteries that make the camera look like all other lithium battery cameras are Panasonic eneloop NiMH smart batteries. These batteries are absolutely the best and last as long as any other rechargeable battery for my cameras.

Defective USB port. I hope your computer has a memory card slot

The menu is a little complicated, but the pictures come out very beautiful. But the mini-USB connector on the camera broke a month after the warranty expired. I took it to a camera repair shop and they said it would cost more to fix than the camera. Internet research shows that the mini-USB port is the weak point of FUJI cameras. The only way is to keep removing the memory card to transfer pictures to the computer and then inserting the memory card back into the camera. These frequent transfers

The first tests passed

This is somehow too much for a camera for the money. I'm impressed with many things a 'smart camera' can do, especially the sharpness of a long zoom. It's a bit bulky and heavy, but I think it makes holding the camera easier for long shots. My first recordings were of the King of Norway speaking at my granddaughter's prom in a fairly dark arena in Tacoma. I took close-up shots of the blossoms on the trees and look forward to more shots of the birds. Aside from the long zoom that I can use for…

Pleasantly surprised by the quality.

I got this a few weeks ago, took a few hundred pictures and a few movies and it has exceeded all my expectations. 1080 movies are a bit blocky. Lower the resolution a bit and it plays fine. Fantastic zoom but almost impossible to use without support. Image stabilization at full zoom doesn't cope easily. Panorama mode definitely saves Photoshop time when compositing images. The macro is very good. A wide-angle lens lets you capture quite a lot in one picture. And I'm amazed at the quality of the

Have been using this for wildlife photography for over a year and overall very satisfied. The price for the functionality is unbeatable. I use shutter priority mode for what I need. A couple of notes: This camera doesn't do very well in low light. It struggles to keep the color in the photo at the highest ISO settings and reasonable shutter speeds. Using flash means you can't adjust exposure in any of the auto modes, resulting in images being overexposed even with minimal exposure. . The…

Not sure because of the price increase

I have just returned from a 3 week stay in Greece and have used this camera although it was fairly new to me. I bought it from Revain in June for $169. I mostly shot with aperture priority at ISO 200, but switched to auto after noticing that it washed out the blue sky, although the horizon was often blurred during the day. Most of the twilight and dawn photos turned out very well. A few shots just didn't come off in low light, either washed out by the flash or some weird vignetting. In low…

The camera will blow your mind, the best camera I've ever had!

This camera is a MUST HAVE. etc. I bought this camera because I'm going to Europe with friends in June, to Amsterdam, to the Defqon.1 Weekend Festival. Going to this festival is one of my biggest dreams and traveling to Europe from the US is not a cheap achievement, it will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The only camera I've ever had was just a point and shoot Nikon with ZERO optical zoom and only digital zoom. I'm still waiting for my 64GB SDXC card to arrive in the mail from PNY. I was…
