If you receive several of these it probably means you are using them in an old facility/house. Since old places tend to have stripped sockets, they don't stay in the wall as easily. While this is not a product design flaw, it is a clip that should hold it in place. Since they screw directly into the socket cover, they can only be used on one of the two sockets.
