🎒 geckobrands Tarpaulin Dry Bag: Waterproof PVC Material, Shoulder Strap included, 3-inch Capacity Review

We used it on an overnight canoeing/camping trip and it's great! We had two (tent, sleeping bag, clothes, mats etc.). Our canoe took on water and nothing got wet. These are really thick PVC type and they were great! Delivery was quick and working with the company was a pleasure!

I bought this bag to use the solar charger when kayaking and the transparent nature of the dry bag works great for that. However, when I used it as a regular tote and slung the strap across my chest, the strap broke at the top where it appears to be just glued. Overall the bag is of mediocre quality but for light use it should be fine, just don't rely on that strap to hold up.

The original was damaged with a hole in the bottom when I received it but Geckobrands was willing to send a replacement straight away. I wasn't able to test an undamaged product, but I temporarily patched the damaged one and went kayaking with it. It served quite well and there was only a small amount of moisture in the bag after getting caught in white water and submerging in the water for a few minutes.

I bought this because I work in airport security. We have to carry our belongings through security in a clear bag. I bought this stuff sack to replace my backpack on display. It works exactly as it's supposed to. The seams of the bag appear to be strong. It's a good size for all my everyday gear and is easy to carry on your side or back. The D-rings and clip are cheap plastic. Otherwise the bag looks well made and adequately serves the purpose for which it was purchased.

I ordered two of these bags for my 10 day canoe trip down the Buffalo River. The bags worked perfectly, no water got inside. We had waves hitting the canoes and thunderstorms and everything stayed dry. I love how you can see what's in the bag, with dry bags it's really handy and it helps you remember how you packed the bag and you can see where the item is the you need. The only problem I had was a carabiner broke. . I used the carabiner to hang my bag from the hammock, not sure if it's rated…
