Best Pi case I've worked with

This is by far the best Pi 4 case I've worked with and I have four other different Pi 4 cases to review and review here I've worked with several cases for the Pi 1, 2 and 3. The dimensions of this case are perfect - apply a thin thermal pad to the CPU and RAM, tighten the screws with the included Allen key and the cooling will match or exceed Housing with a fan even under load. The Pi 4 doesn't warp, all connectors are perfectly centered in the access holes, and the SD card is well protected…

Does a good job of passively cooling the Raspberry Pi 4

This is a good choice for a quiet case to cool the Raspberry Pi 4. In my situation the Rpi is used as a music transport connected to a DAC. It had to be silent, i.e. without a fan. This case does a very good job of providing some protection with decent cooling. After 24 hours of operation in a 23°C room, the temperature of the Rpi board is 39°C. Assembly was easy. However, you will likely need needle nose pliers to install all of the posts as there isn't much room for your fingers. I'm using a…

Proof in numbers!

As you probably already know, the official Raspberry Pi 4 case sucks when it comes to thermal management. With the top on, I'm pretty sure my system has shut down due to thermal overload. I removed the cap, which helped a bit, but here are the stats: Official Pi 4 case (top cap removed): 57℃ idle, 79℃ under load (could be higher, but I stopped that since 80 is a danger zone) In this case: 32℃ idle, 45℃ under load. It sits under a piece of furniture with 6 inches of space around the unit but…

Very efficient; but significant RF interference

In my case, when detecting Pi 4 objects with sensor flow, I saw temperatures of 75°C without this case and 48°C with case. The only downside is that the case acts like a metal shield surrounding the Wi-Fi (and probably the Bluetooth antenna), which greatly affects the RF range of the Wi-Fi - I don't use Bluetooth, so I can't comment on that to say; although I suspect this will also be significantly affected. I still get a significant improvement just using the bottom of the case. I can end up…

It's a bit pricey, but it's a great case for hobbyists.

I needed a Raspberry Pi case that would give me access to the GPIO pins so I bought this case. The case keeps the Pi cool and only heats up slightly when the Pi is running. There are no fans, but most CNC cases with fans aren't of much use if you install a hat, since the hat will block airflow from the fan. I had no problems with WiFi with the Pi case installed. There are a few other CNC cases cheaper than this one including one from Geekworm but I like this one because it completely isolates…

Wonderful design! in single board computers

I _really_ love this case! I bought a second one as soon as the first one ran. Here are a few things that aren't obvious at first glance: The metallic sticker can be removed. It's HOT so be careful! The connector pins are NOT completely under the top of the case! You'll cut something if you're not careful. I put a Kapton on mine just in case. There are 4 threaded holes on the bottom to attach it to objects. The rubber feet will cover them if you place them where it makes sense. The plexiglass…

All-metal Raspberry Case

It has undoubtedly been designed to fit all the key features of the Raspberry Pi 4 case • Protection: Reliable. The aluminum alloy body is no joke. You could probably drive your car over it and not damage the Pi (just keep the tires away from open USB ports). • Passive cooling: no problem here. I would just echo other reviewers' criticisms regarding the thermal pad placement instructions. The images on the Revain listing page clearly show how to cut and place a thermal pad. The pictures also…

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • For the old case

Overall this bag has a great design. However, I have two (maybe three) complaints: First, it's not designed to support active cooling at all. There is nowhere to install the fan, and this is the lower part (most likely sitting on the surface) with the radiator part of the structure. If you normally use the RPi4 it should have an equilibrium temperature within a safe range, but if you overclock or use it heavily it might start to rise a bit higher than ideal for the longest possible run. use…
